i am getting DS stride rite SRT sandals...he is 11mo and just started walking.

I still get my DS who is 3 stride rite sandals. Very supportive, can get wet, he can run in them with no issues. I like them.

Good sandal for new walker?
I like Stride Rites for that age, because they have such a flexible sole that a new walker can still feel the floor and have proper foot development via sensory feedback, etc. Keens and Merrills have much thicker and stiffer soles (even the Keen CNX line).
