bottoms for a nice night out, not jeans
i just bought a few really cute dressy tops for going out to dinner with friends or dinner with DH
what pants or even skirt do you like for going out?
please give me specifics, store and style, because I suck at shopping and fashion and i really need help.

I have worn shorts like khaki material but in great summer colors. I get them from american eagle. I dress them up or down.
I have gotten skirts but mostly from boutiques and i dont live in li.
And then there are dressy shorts, again from boutiques...
Also i have a pair of light weight loose fitting ankle pants from the gap. These are a solid navy blue but prints are huge right now and everyone sells them like h & m or gap or old navy

I like a dressy short for that.
I got a great pair of black shorts for going out in Banana Republic last year.
Also, those skinny capris I posted from Macy's in my other thread are perfect for a night out if you dress them up with a fancy top and sexy strappy sandals

I actually got a few at Burlington. I've never been there before but I thought I'd give it a shot. They have a lot of stuff but you have to go through the racks which is usually not my thing but there is one by my work and I went during lunch. The prices can't be beat!

I think a slim cut pant is great for that -
The limited Drew Fit Straight style is my favorite.
Also, try Express.

Ditto on Express. I got a slim cut ankle pant from there and they are my absolute favorite pants.

White House / Black Market has these leggings...
But they are not like yoga pants leggings.
They are dressy leggings with a certain stitching down the pack leg and a piping that makes them dressy but comfortable and extremely flattering.
They have full length or capri -- for summer, I do capri, so that when I don't want to do dark denim these are my go-to pants.
They have styles with a faux leather stripe on the side, they have ones with piping on the side or down the back, they have ones with hardware on them... I love their leggings. Now, they sell regular simple like running around doing errands leggings and then they sell the ones I'm talking about. You'll know the difference right away

just an update on these leggings. I went to White House Black Market and they don't have them anymore!!! 
they suggested I look in the outlet store.
