I know a lot of people dislike this place. My sister convinced me to go see her (Dr. Trivax) who I really liked, but this office seems terrible. I am on my second message for finance and no one has called me back. and I have only been there for a consultation , I don't even have real bills from there yet. Do other people have these problems with this office.

I liked Dr. Trivax, but did not like the practice as a whole. If you do a search on here I am sure you will find many people that have had some sort of issue with this office.

I think you may get the "run now" from lots of girls on here but a lot of people also had success with dr trivax. I Would just look into other options.

Love Dr Trivax but hate the office!! My issues were with a couple of the nurses and one of the front desk people. I've had success under Dr Trivax care (20 month old DD and 26 weeks pregnant).
If he was to leave it I'm sure a lot of ladies on this board would follow him to his new practice.

ONLY after you threated to leave this practice if this round didn't work DID he actual step up to the plate and make a change in your protocol. Now you are preg. Please.

What was Posted by hmm:
This and so much more. I would search this office and this drs name. I think he has great bedside manner to lots of ladies but that's pretty much it. The finance department is a NIGHTMARE and the nursing staff is AWFUL. IMO I would look elsewhere. Not a place where you will get a specified protocol either and just a fyi you may never see dr t again. He may never be there for your visits or do your ER/et! Don't want to scare you but don't want to give you the "it's ok answer"

Yolo, thanks for reposting lol..did you read mine
as far as researching his name, it looks as if people have been asked to "write good reviews. Interestingly, for over two years RSofNY Facebook only had a few hundred followers. All of the sudden they have more than LI IVF and dr T in NYC, please, they must be paying for followers trying to look better. They are working hard to convince people they will receive good care.
CONSIDER the fact, in the last 2 years Many of the RN's and staff have left, huge turn over all the time. WHY!!!

I got pregnant with my DD there a couple of years ago & am totally grateful for that. I had some nurses & sono techs who were really good to me there as well as the dr I was seeing really assured me as the process wasn't easy. However, with that being said, the finance dept is a disaster & best handled in person if you can. When I was there, some nurses were great & some not & as pp said you have to be your own advocate which did make me feel uneasy at times & question if I was in the right place. I wouldn't go as far as to say the dr are dressed like slobs etc. The Drs I saw were always in professional clothes & lab coats & addressed my case professionally although some compassionate & as I said some just professional. I also agree if you're not a textbook case you'll want to really do your research on a practice better suited for your needs. If this practice is somewhere that is convenient or comfortable right now, just be mindful of all the warnings mentioned. GL!

Re: RSOFNY
I never had a problem with finance or billing there. My problem was the way they treated me as a patient. For example, once I went in for a progesterone check (literally just to stick out my arm and have them draw blood - 30 seconds) and I had to wait for 2 HOURS for the privilege. This was a little longer than usual - often the wait for routine visits was 45 min to an hour - but got more and more common the longer I was with them.
The WORST though was that the doctors and nurses shuffle you around and not only do they not remember you, they DON'T BOTHER TO READ YOUR CHART before you sit down with them. I was there every 2 days for weeks for blood / sono because of a pregnancy that wasn't working out, and I was on a bunch of medications because of testing they'd done months earlier. I finally lost the baby at 6 and a half weeks. I went in for a follow-up the following week and Dr. Sung stood up when I walked into her office, shook my hand, said it was nice to meet me, and that she'd be doing testing to see why I lost the baby. I was like - "Is this different from the testing you did on me 4 months ago?" She LAUGHED and apologized that she hadn't looked through my chart before I walked in because it was a busy day.
Or how about the next time I was pregnant, and all was great, and then I went in for a routine sono and there was no heartbeat. The sono tech said she was so sorry, but that there was no chance; the baby was gone. And that the doctor would be with me to talk about it. She put me back in the waiting room, next to a girl who was excitedly clutching her own sono pic of her healthy baby, taking pics of it and emailing it to her mother… and they left me there for OVER 90 MINUTES. Crying. Alone. Not one of the nurses or sono techs who passed by asked if I was ok, or needed a tissue, or needed to go sit somewhere private. They just left me there, crying, for over an hour and a half, for a doctor to see me. One of the worst experiences of my life, truly.

I haven't had any experience with the Mineloa office, but have nothing but wonderful things to say about the West Islip office. I was in and out of the office within 20-30 minutes, and the staff are caring and compassionate (the nurse Linda is a sweetheart).
I went to WI for blood/sono and Stony Brook for procedures.
I ultimately left the practice, but as far as the staff at the WI office goes, they are incredible.

I am so sorry. That is a terrible story.
I had three failed FET's here...and I would never recommend that anyone go. Like a PP said...unless you are a textbook case, they will keep taking your money and doing cycle after cycle without changing protocol if it doesn't work. The dr I used told me there was "no reason" why I wasn't getting pregnant....and I was soon diagnosed by a completely different dr in another practice with a thrombophilia/clotting disorder. Fast forward and I am 8 months pregnant, no thanks at all to RS of NY. I wasted so much time, tears and money.

I would seriously seek out another practice. The ladies on this board are a wealth of knowledge but the best advice any one can give you is be your own advocate and ask for testing - for you and your DH.

I just have unexplained. No one seems to care why its unexplained. I went through the same thing at LIIVF. Are there RE's that actually look into why? Any recommendations?

Re: RSOFNY
The dr office I had success had, I sent a friend there who had quote on quote unexplained and the receptionist said I hate when people come in and say that. There is obviously a reason. I think either the dr don't want to try and figure it out or just want to keep pushing IVF . There are so many tests out there that others won't or don't want to do.
