UPDATED do you by any chance know this book??

Crazy question, but do any of you by any chance know which children's book I describe below?

(It was my favorite book as a kid, but I can't find it and don't remember what it's called.)

It's about a little girl whose parents were scientists, and they worked together in a lab inside their house, but she felt they worked too much and didn't spend enough time with them. One night, she heard a loud explosion from their lab, and when she went in, she realized they'd shrunk themselves so they were small enough to be her dolls. She played with them all night and the parents promised they would be more fun once they got back to their old size -- which they did at the end. It's a picture book, probably from the 80s, but possibly older.

Thanks! It's strangely similar to that, but that's unfortunately not the book I'm talking about.

Not sure of it but maybe ask the children's librarian about it and they may be able to research or better yet, they may know.
