Landscaping help

I have $1,000 to do some landscaping.

I would like to plant some bushes and some little trees. Can you suggest a place to buy them, and someone to plant them?

We are in Northport. We have weekly lawn maintenance with a local landscaping company, but they charge $$$$$$$ to do any planting.

Any suggestions of what to plant?

Not on the planting itself.

I mean, I recently used Longo Landscaping for removal, because I am not strong enough to do that. But the planting itself I did on my own. If you do want to call them though, they were wonderful to work with and reasonable.

As for what to plant -- I love a small Japanese red maple. That's a little tree that I love the look of. I also love small cherry blossom trees. I like the look of them together - I have done the maple and blossom in the same area, beautiful.

Arborvite are good bushes if you want bushes.
