Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
Hi girls - I was team green for the first time and it was great. It was super fun having everyone guess and the surprise at the end was like no other. It was so amazing and I loved every minute of it. The whole pregnancy went by and I felt so calm not knowing and didn't care too much. All baby needs is a home and love. We decorated neutral and got a ton of clothes when she was born. It was the best decision!!!
Anyway so I am pregnant again and I think we want to be team green again, is this dumb? I am starting to waiver bc dr just told me I can have the Verifi test done and find out the sex by 12 weeks! It would be nice to shop for clothes and prepare the room in a non-neutral color this time. However I am also ok leaving the room plain and painting it after he or she is born since they will sleep in my room for the first 3-4 months. I can order bedding when he/she is born. We have some neutral newborn clothes to get us started too.
DH wants it to be a surprise again. This cracks me up bc last time he was so against it but in the end he was so happy he did it that way. My mom and my sister want to know, lol, they said give them the piece of paper with the info so they can start shopping. Umm no.
So we are leaning toward team green and I think i may regret it if we do it any other way. Ugh but there is a nagging little voice in my head that may want to find out!

Re: Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
We were Team Green both times and would definitely be surprised in the delivery room again whenever we decide to try for #3. I loved being surprised in the delivery room and wouldn't want it any other way. I'm not a big planner, I wouldn't have changed the colors of the bedrooms and I already had some neutral newborn clothes from the first time. We got plenty of boys clothes after each of them was born. DH announced the sex to me each time and it was such a special moment. For me, I think that was the most exciting way to find out.

I was team green for both of my pregnancies and will most likely be for this one too. I know how you feel because I loved being team green but even now just finding out about #3 I'm already waivering. I think the curiosity just kicks in. But being team green was so much fun. Especially in the delivery room. I have to remind myself of that when I think that I should find out. I like you think I would be disappointed I knew once I found out!! It's a personal choice but if you enjoyed not knowing then I would go that way again.

::crashing::
My daughter was team green for all 3 of her children. She already had 2 boys and was convinced baby 3 was another boy. They were shocked speechless in the delivery room when the dr held up a baby girl. They both said it was such a great surprise that they were able to share together and if there is a baby #4 they will be team green again.

I was team green for my first and we are staying team green for this one also. For me I couldn't imagine any other way. I also could have found out at 11 weeks because I had the maternit21 test but we held out.

Re: Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
We were team green both times because DH was dead set on it. I could have gone either way and would have sorta liked to know at least with #2 but since he felt so strongly I went with his request. I had so many US though and I'm in the medical field so I couldn't help but be pretty certain I saw the sex (correctly too) both times, even though I really didn't want to. I always told the techs that we were team green but most of the didn't warn me before jumping to the gender revealing shots. I kept this to myself though because I didn't want to disappoint him and I couldn't be 100% since it was never truly confirmed by anyone other than myself.
If we go for #3 I'm not sure what we'll do. I think I'd really want to know since we already have one of each so I can plan better.

Re: Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
I was TG for #1 and now for #2. I'm not going to lie, I find it much more difficult this time around. It's in part that we just moved and I feel so unorganized. I would love to either get rid of all the bins of clothes or just be organized with it. Also, We haven't ordered furniture because I want white if it's a girl so we are just waiting. The nursery is just a room with a diaper genie right now. The lack of readiness is making me nuts. BUT... I just keep recalling how amazing it was to hear "it's a boy" and what an incredible moment that was. That's what keeps me going.

Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
Although, I was not team green for #1 we did seriously consider it. But we decided to find out after our 20w sono. Looking back it was the best decision because my perfectly healthy pregnancy ended in a c-section and I had to be heavily drugged as my epi did not take. I barely registered that I gave birth so I don't think I could've appreciated the surprise.
That said, if we go for #2 I may still reconsider being team green. But not so sure after my birth experience. :(

Re: Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
I was team green 3 times. I was very happy with my decision I loved the surprise. 3rd time would have been easier to find out since all the boy clothes could have been washed and ready to go

Re: Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
We were NOT team green for the first 2, but we decided to stay team for #3 and I have to say that i LOVE not knowing! It was nice to find out for the shopping / painting/preparing purposes those first two times, but I prefer this so much more and I am so happy we held out! I am absolutely curious to find out who this little one is, and I am very surprised that the anticipation hasn't driven me completely insane by now because I am a planner by nature. But we have plenty of NB and 0-3 month neutral clothes, and we have a boys name and a girls name chosen, so I feel as prepared as i need to be!

Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
First off congratulations!!!! Very exciting news. I'm so happy for you.
My situation was a little different because first time we did find out, second time I was team green. It was honestly the most amazing thing we've done. The anticipation was the best and then finding out during delivery- Such an amazing feeling!!!!!!!! I told Kevin that if we were ever to have any more (probably not because we are set on 2), I would totally do it again and again and again. It was so special finding out in the hospital and I will cherish that moment they announced it forever. Definitely do it again!! It will be just as fun and special as the first time around. It's funny because I truly question why we found out with dd. It really was the best not knowing!

I agree. We found out with DS and are this time. It is honestly not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be! I think everyone else is more anxious to find out the sex than I am!
I am glad we found out with DS because we had a room to prepare but this one will be sleeping in our room until we hopefully move so that was a non-issue. We have boy and girls names picked out and all of our gear is already neutral. For US the only reason to find out would be to buy girl clothes if we weren't having another boy. That didn't seem nearly worth my desire to be surprised this time around so I am glad we didn't find out.

Re: Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
We always planned to do team green with #1 but then find out with #2, but it was just so amazing and fun and exciting that we decided that we would be for every baby! DH and I both feel that we would never want to know the sex anytime before the delivery room!

Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
I just had this convo with DH's cousin who has 4 kids. The first she found out and the other 3 she was team green. She said it was well worth the wait and there is nothing like being handed your child and being told 'it's a ...."

Team Green all the way! I did it that way for both pregnancies and it was the best! Will definitely do it again if there is a #3.

Exactly how I feel! I can (and probably will ) do plenty of gender specific clothes shopping in the weeks after baby is born so that isn't good enough reason for me to find out early this time. I much prefer the surprise!!!

Re: Is anyone Team Green for the 2nd time around?
Team green again- did it for ds but at the 20 week sono, the tech was having a bad day and kept showing us. So ultimately turned out to be not so team green but we refused to hear anything until he was born. We did everything gender neutral and in all honestly, within weeks he had a ton of boy clothes and toys. Will definitely do it again!
