With #1, we registered for tommy tippee. I also had gotten a sample avent bottle. We ended up buying playtex ventaire bc we hated the others. DD would dribble the milk so badly. Never had an issue with the ventaires.

I hated dr Browns from when I worked in daycare so I didn't want to bother with those.

Re: Bottles

We used the Playtex drop ins for DS, but with DD we switched to Tommee Tippee because she seemed to have a gas issue. The tommee tippees worked well for her so we got those again for #3.

Re: Bottles

Two of my best friends had babies this time last year and both tried a bunch of brands and each landed on Born Free, so we're going to start with that. I was given a "sample" of Avent so I will try that too to see if there's a difference. But registered for Born Free bottles.

Re: Bottles

Can I ask why you don't want to use Dr. Browns anymore? Just curious cause that the brand that I registered for, it seemed to work for my nephew especially because other brands made him gassy.

In my experience with them, the babies who used them were just as gassy, or sometimes more, as the ones who used a different bottle. And also the parts are annoying.

With DC #1 I tried the Born Free and hated them. I hated the parts and they didn't help with gas at all. I ended up with Playtex Drop-ins. I'll prob use the same this time around also.

Re: Bottles

I got Playtex Ventaire. My cousin uses them with her kids and really liked them. I also got a Avent sample so I'll try both.

I used Avent with my first son.

I loved them. Whenever I have more children I'm going to use them again.

Yes. This is why I went with Avent.

Ex-SIL had used Dr. Brown's and I saw what she went through with all the parts and cleaning -- and how, if you misplaced one part, the bottle was shot.

I was like omg no way.

So I went with Avent and loved them. Then when she saw me use Avent she ended up switching to them with her second DC because of the PITA of cleaning the Dr. Brown's.

Re: Bottles

I'm so mad at myself! I have so many dr. Browns (from recommendation) and now it seems they are having gas issues. We just started using the Avent and its so much better! I just ordered a few more.

I like Dr. browns, and she's definitely less gassy with them then other bottles we've tried. I also find traveling with them easy. Hated Avent, the shape of the bottle is awkward and I felt like it leaked a lot.

Did you use their dishwasher basket? Makes it easy.
