As hard as it might be to believe at 13 years old, other people's opinions really, really don't mean much at all in life

advice for 13 year old girl

I wish someone had told me at age 13 that I could do and achieve anything, and how important it was to keep a good routine so you could ensure success. I could have easily gone to law school, but never learned to have the self-discipline to study as hard as I needed to. I always thought, "I got this"... And then bam, college was hard. Hope this helps

Re: advice for 13 year old girl

Everyone has struggled and has issues in their life no matter how easy they make things look. Most of the time, more than 99% of the time, people are not thinking about you. They are not thinking about how what they will say or do will effect you. They are thinking about themselves. Fake it until you can make it. Study smart. Keep in mind your long and short term goals. Keep moving forward.

You can do anything you set your mind to.

Always set goals for yourself, no matter how old you are.

Live the life you love, no matter what others may say.

If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.

Whatever you do, always give it 100%

treat all people with kindness and respect, even if they are different. you will be glad you did when you are an adult.

as hard as it is when you're 13, try not to worry about what other people think. do what makes YOU feel comfortable and happy.

if you make a mistake or wrong choice, learn from it. Don't let regret hold you back or get you down.

Love and friendship should always make you happy and make you feel good about yourself. Never do anything you are not comfortable with to get a boy or to make a friend. The first time your boyfriend or a good friend makes you feel bad about yourself is when you should move on to someone new.

Start saving money at a young age. Even though adulthood may seem like a long time away, it really isn't.

advice for 13 year old girl

I constantly tell my daughter things to this affect:

Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The boys don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they’re amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Re: advice for 13 year old girl

1. NEVER be afraid to stand up for yourself. My life would have been different if I knew this was something I could do. I just took the teasing and abuse. I just took it. I ignored it. Ignoring didn't help. So NEVER be afraid to stand up for yourself.

2. Do not become someone who avoids confrontation. You will know the times its right to say something, and the times you should "let it go". If you are getting taken advantage of (friends saying, just give me $5) you have a right to say no. Its ok if there is confrontation.

3. Don't be a doormat. Don't let people take advantage. It goes back to #1 and #2. Its ok to stick up for yourself. Its ok to have confrontation.

4. Don't be afraid to say no. Don't please everyone because it avoids confrontation. Its ok to say no.

5. believe in yourself.

6. Always be yourself. People can "see" that you are "on".

7. DO NOT GO INTO CREDIT CARD DEBT. if you cant afford it, you should not buy it.

advice for 13 year old girl

Love yourself for who you are. Everyone is different and learn to love and embrace your differences. It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, it matters how you are on the inside. Be kind and friendly to everyone and it will make you a happier person in the long run. Do not join a clique. Vary your friends and it will teach you so much.

1. The choices you make in the next few years, young as you are, will shape the course of your life. Make them with care.

2. High school seems like it will last forever, but in the great scheme of your life, it's a blink. Focus beyond it.

3. Don't sell your body to get a boyfriend. "Working girls" know their value and charge accordingly. Dumb girls sell themselves for the price of a movie ticket, a dinner or a drink. You are better than that.

Life goes fast. Make the most of it.

Things can always get better, but don't lose sight that things can always get much, much worse. Be happy for what you have today. Always try to find something good in your day, no matter what.

Laugh.

Sleep is the best medicine.

Trust your gut. Your instincts are the most powerful tool you have.

Be fearless. Try not to let worries hold you back.

Save, save, save. Save your memories, save your money.

Don't get into credit card debt. Once you are in it, it is so hard to get out of it.

Surround yourself with people who make you feel good about being your true self. If there are people in your life who are make you feel negative emotions, try to wean them out of your life. Make more plans with the ones who you enjoy spending time with.
