2nd time Mommies...
This baby is due 10 days before my DD second birthday which also falls on Thanksgiving this year. i will most like be having a scheduled c-sect around the 16th. I am trying to decide if I should do DD bday party (2hrs at a place) at the end of October or if I should wait and do it a few weeks into Dec. WWYD?

Re: 2nd time Mommies...
My 3rd is due 2 weeks after my 2nd turns 4. We opted to do DD's birthday party a couple of weeks early, just in case, and it worked out well. We did it at a place, and it was small. Usually we do the "kids" party and then a family thing at the house. We told everyone this year we are doing 1 thing. The grandparents, aunts & uncles came to the "kids" party at the place and it was fine. I just wasn't up for having anyone in the house so close to my due date. And who wants to clean and entertain twice?! i would say to do it early. This way too, it's all about your DD.

Awesome! TY..I don't want her to not havee a bday party bec of the new baby. I think earlier is the way to go especially since the later option would be between thanksgiving and xmas and could be really tough for people.

Re: 2nd time Mommies...
so funny... I was/am in a similar boat. my due date is 11/24 and dd's 3rd bday is 11/5. I went 2 weeks late with dd though. i booked her party for 10/24 at the recommendations of quite a few friends and family. i say go with a mid-late October party... nicer weather, and you will be feeling much more up to it then, than with a newborn. and you don't want the new baby to take away from her day. kwim?

2nd time Mommies...
I have a scheduled c-section planned 5 days after my son's bday in June... After all the back and forth, i decided to plan the party in August instead. I didnt want to be tired and irritable during my son's special day so i figured having it a month and a half later would give me some time to recover and be ready to see everyone.

Re: 2nd time Mommies...
Given the time of year, I think I would do it beforehand.
