Washing clothes..
I had my shower this passed weekend. When did you start washing clothes, blankets etc? How many weeks before baby?

Re: Washing clothes..
I washed 0-3 clothes a few weeks ago (I'm due in less than 4 weeks). I only have a few newborn stuff washed though, and not sure if I'm even going to get DD to wear it... apparently she is measuring big so we'll see!

Re: Washing clothes..
I am due in 5 weeks and washed everything from 0-6mo this past weekend. Figured it was a good project to get done and all those little clothes take a while to fold and remove tags!

Re: Washing clothes..
Just a small piece of advice from a BTDT mom - only wash a few things and then wash as you need it. With my first I took the tags off every single piece of clothing and washed it and he never wore a third of it. I so wish I would have waited so that I could return those small sizes for bigger clothes when he needed them!

I second this! Take tags off of those that you really really really like...everything else leave the tags on just in case. I have a 2 storage bins full of newborn and 3 month clothes that DD barely wore.

GREAT point. Most of my baby clothes from 0-12mo were from my sister which is why I washed all of it, but great point for anything new!!

Totally agree. I will be 31 weeks Friday and just washed his coming home outfit and a couple of side snap shirts and swaddle blankets. I don't plan on leaving my house for the first couple of weeks so that's all I'm washing .

Washing clothes..
Agree with the others... even my 4 week premie was only in the newborn stuff for a short time, and breezed through the 3 month clothes. He's lingering in some of the 6 month onesies and is mainly in 9 months now (he's 7 months old). They go through the clothes so fast! BUT, if they are in daycare, at that point you will likely have multiple changes a day if they are a drooly kid like mine (or if they pee during diaper changes, etc).
