Baby Bottle Sterilizer
Not worth it... I use the Medela steam bags to sterilize any bottle parts.

Re: Baby Bottle Sterilizer
Even my ped said it was a waste. We just boiled the bottles on the stove before the first use and made sure to run them through the dishwasher once a week. She assured us that was more than enough.

Re: Baby Bottle Sterilizer
Not necessary. Sterilize in a pot of boiling water before you use the bottles / parts for the first time. After that, it's fine to wash them in the sink or in the the dishwasher.

Re: Baby Bottle Sterilizer
I have one & I hardly use it. Although the times I've used it I was glad I had it because it was super quick & easy to use. But if I wasn't lazy, boiling water is really just as easy.

Baby Bottle Sterilizer
My sister gave me a brand new sterilizer that she never used. I use it all the time. I sterilized all the bottles before we used them and now I sterilize them once a week. If it wasn't given to me, I'm not sure that I would have spent the money on it. It is super convenient though.

Re: Baby Bottle Sterilizer
We had the Medela and Munchkin steam bags and used those for a few months - maybe 6? Made me feel better about getting things really clean lol. I BF though and only pumped or gave a bottle hear and there.

Re: Baby Bottle Sterilizer
U probably got enough answers already but here is mine anyway, lol! We got the sterilizer from our baby shower that u put in the microwave and didn't feel comfortable using it because of it. So I just ended up washing the bottles with regular water, bottle soap, and the brush. Once they were washed, I would pour hot, boiling water on the bottles and all their parts, and let everything stay there til the water got cold.

Re: Baby Bottle Sterilizer
Hand wash and dishwasher. No need for a sterilizer.
