Re: ***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
I am in total freak out mode. By this time with #1, the nursery was ready, everything was ready to go. Right now, all I have is diapers. The nursery is painted and that's it. I feel very unprepared. I'm also having panic attacks thinking about delivery. I just need to stop thinking about it. I know it's my crazy pregnant lady hormones but I can't stop the anxiety. I have this fear of delivering on the side of the road, missing the epidural, and the list goes on and on.

I'm nervous and overwhelmed too. So much left to do and having another DD is definitely making it more challenging to get things ready this time around for me too. I am getting nervous for delivery too....we will be okay

***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Really just need to install the car seat and finishing packing the hospital bag. Emotions are running high wondering if I'll have any clue what I'm doing once she shows up. Im praying maternal instinct takes over. Any one else feel this way with their first? I worry I'm gonna melt down having no experience with babies so young

I could have written this word for word when I was expecting my first. The delivery itself didn't scare me as much as bringing her home did. That maternal instinct completely showed up and it was awesome. Have no fear...you will totally figure it out. I had no experience either, but you will totally surprise yourself.

***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
nesting finally hit me! I did soooooooooooooo much work on Monday. my body ached so bad by the end but man do I feel accomplished!
this is #3, so I needed to make space in my dd's room for dresser and crib. I reorganized all the toys and de-cluttered. I did the playroom as well. all that is left to do is pack a hospital bag, and wash some baby clothes. also, dh has to assemble ds's bedroom furniture- we bought a bed and dresser from ikea. that room can wait a little bit, as long as the nursery room is mostly done, I am HAPPY!!!
hoping to last another 2.5 weeks! I have a house cleaner coming this Saturday- so happy they will scrub and clean and freshen up our house!! hooray!

SO helps to hear this!! I'm scared for labor but in reality I know bringing her home will be much scarier since DH and I will be on our own lol. It's so good to know mother nature will take over and I'll learn the ropes quickly. Thank you for reassuring me!!
Monday is my 36 week appointment. So looking forward to having the weekly check ups to find out if this little one is getting closer!
So interesting question for you second and third time mommas. Any correlation between your labors and your mother's labor? Ive heard from some that there's a hereditary correlation. I'm kind of wishful thinking since my mom had me and my siblings all a few days before our due dates and labor was less than 12 hours with all three of us. I know everyone is different but I'm curious. I'm hopeful i'll follow in my momma's footsteps :)

It's June!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ETA: To answer the question above - my mom had 2 C sections after laboring for many hours....I labored with DD for 15 hours but had a vaginal birth. Hoping for the same this time.

Re: ***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
I'm 38 weeks on Thursday and I ask DH so many times a day if I've dropped! As of last week, at my first internal I was still high up and cervix was closed.
Anyone else getting major Braxton Hicks? Mine are practically all day long. They used to be only up top and now I feel them at the bottom of my belly too.
So exciting!!!

Re: ***OFFICIAL JUNE 2015 THREAD***
I have been having a lot of braxton hicks also. I'm 37.5 weeks now. I had my son at 38 weeks exactly. I'm not ready yet. I'm hoping to hold out until the end of the month.
I have come to realize ignorance is indeed bliss. I'm trying so hard not to think about the delivery because I have an unbelievable amount of anxiety about it. I also hate not knowing when this is going to happen. I'm usually a pretty calm person and take things in stride but I am having a hard time with this.
I am looking forward to getting myself back. I put on a bit of weight this time and I'm disgusted. I am looking forward to increasing my activity and trying to get all this excess weight off. It's killing my joints!

I totally feel all of this. I wish I knew too, especially because I was induced with my daughter 6 years ago. I felt like I had way more control over the time frame aspect. When you had your son at 38 weeks, did you go into labor on your own?

I was due 6/1/15 but my team green baby arrived on 5/27 and it's a girl My DD has a sister now. So happy and excited. She was 8 lbs, 1 ounce and was 21 1/2 inches long. I delivered at Winthrop and had a great experience - 3 nights there and it was a c-section (I opted to go home as soon as they would let me). I had my own room the whole time and it was a huge room with lots of windows and didn't have to share a bathroom.

I went on my own. My water broke. I love a nice surprise but for whatever reason, I am in a panic with this. I am prepared and organized at this point - meaning if it were to happen right now, I'm ready to go, everything at home is ready- but mentally, I'm a basket case! It's so out of character for me to be like this so I really don't know what to do with myself!

awww i love hearing the first baby from our month has been born! Congratulations @MK2010!!
I'm 37 weeks + 2 days. I definitely think i've dropped. My Doc doesn't do any internal exams or dilation checks until 39 weeks so I'm in the dark (for better or for worse). Hoping this girl won't make me wait much further past 39 weeks since the discomfort has definitely settled in. I keep waivering from ready to meet my daughter to totally terrified and unprepared lol.

Yay @ready2go !! I can't believe we're over half way through June!
I'm feeling good just a little stressed wondering when all the action is gonna start! Due 6/28 but feeling like it's never going to happen. Zero signs of labor on the horizon. Where's this baby i was promised?!
