Team green girls - bedding and paint color?
Hey - I am at a loss as to what to paint DC#2 room. We did DD#1 room (who was also team green) with gray walls and gray/yellow/white bedding. Then added purple when she was born. I am sick of looking at grey walls and a gender neutral room. I DON'T want to reuse this bedding is that dumb? Or should I just suck it up?
Instead was thinking of picking out a boy bedding and a girl bedding and paint colors and do it all after he/she is born. Maybe even order both bedding sets close to due date and just return one. I have a gray chair already and can't do tans, it just won't go. I have visions of pink or blue. Could maybe settle for green IF I found a cute boy set.
Ugh I don't know I still think I want to find out. I just can't deal with these decisions and the baby is due at xmas and its just a hectic time. Also veryone is bugging me so they can buy stuff. WAHHH. No one understands :(

I'm not team green just bc I'm ocd and wanted everything done before hand lol but if you think about it, it would take prob 2 days to do the baby's room like paint and stuff so you can def wait until he or she is born to do it! Just do what you said and pick out two bedding sets/ themes you like and see if there's accessories that could go either way and get some crib sheets, changing pad covers etc in a color that could go either way. Then once the baby's here get pink or purple for girl and then blues etc for boy!
First time around my sons room was totally done before he was born. This time around my daughters room is painted but the closet door took longer to come in and the furniture still isn't in yet and I'm due in a few weeks! I'm much more relaxed this time lol

I understand!
I was for both. With my first, I just ordered cherry furniture, painted the walls gray and had two themes in mind. When he was born, I went out and bought what I needed right away.
With DS2, it's been a lot more lax. I had all of these ideas for a girl but I didn't know the sex so it was really making me nuts that I couldn't get the nursery done. I came thisclose to having them tell me the sex so I could just get it done but I knew I wouldn't be able to keep the secret. For DH's sake, I had to stay Now that DS2 is here, I still have no clue what I'm doing in terms of a theme but I ordered the furniture which was luckily in stock so I got it in 3 days. I painted the walls gray again (before he was born) but I was okay with that. Now that he is here, I really feel no sense of urgency to get it done. It's so weird. Before he was born I was getting so nuts about it.
I would also just like to add that if you can do it, stay The wait sucks. I completely understand. But I promise you that the surprise in the delivery room is SO SO very worth it.

I'm team green and I have the gray walls lol so I'm no help with color ideas. I don't think it's stupid to not want to reuse bedding, bedding is so much fun of course you want to buy new ones. Totally wait it out and do your girl/boy room after the baby is here.

I am team green and was with my first. We did a mint green for the walls and did monkey/jungle theme. We are going to move my son into a bigger room and redecorate as he wants! (Disney Cars). Then we are going to use the same nursery for the baby. Once she or he gets older we will redo that room and let him or her pick. I think that works because then each child gets a say in what their room is!

My cousin did a beach theme when she was team green. She did a light teal/green paint on the walls. When the baby was born she added Littlle Mermaid touches. If it was a boy she would have added surf boards.

we were team green this time. my first was a boy and the walls were blue. we kept the same paint color but added girly accents( did a tree with pink and purple flowers) , etc and picked out sheets after she was born! Worked out well.

Yes trying to hold out because I want the same experience as the last time! My hub is holding strong and keeping me strong! My sister keeps telling me it's exciting either way but she was never team green so she can't speak from experience!
