Team Green Girls who are NOT a fan of neutrals/unisex bedding...
How are you decorating? What colors? Not sure if we will stay team green when the time comes but I def don't like neutrals. Neenie's nursery pics inspired me the other day and I'm thinking of possibly doing light green walls and accenting with pink or blue afterwards. What are you doing?

Re: Team Green Girls who are NOT a fan of neutrals/unisex bedding...
I was team green the whole time. I picked girl and boy bedding that I loved, then picked a color for the walls that matched both. DS was in our room for 8 weeks. Thats when I bought his bedding and set up his room.

My walls are tan BM (Springfield tan) I'm not getting a bedding set though. This is my 4th kid and I have enough experience to honestly say (IMO) that they are not worth it.
I'm waiting to find out the gender and then going to buy pieces. I have plenty of time since the baby will be in a cradle at first anyway.

Re: Team Green Girls who are NOT a fan of neutrals/unisex bedding...
We went with this bedding b/c either or we wanted a sea theme. The plan ... <10 weeks and we still only have a plan!! ... is to choose a main color - probably a light green or aqua - and then DH wanted to tape off a stripe towards the top, maybe bottom too - and then when baby gets here we'll paint it light blue or a light purple depending just to give it a little more boy or girl look.

I am not a bedding buyer. Just some white sheets. ITs a lot of money for something not being used.
I am leaning towards green walls.... although I did #1's room navy and LOVE it. Is it weird to have 2 navy rooms?

Re: Team Green Girls who are NOT a fan of neutrals/unisex bedding...
We willnot have the room ready until after baby comes. I am not a fan of gender neutral rooms. I am planning to paint room w/ an ecru color on top and a white cair rail. DH will do that in early fall. After baby comes, he will paint bottom part eitehr navy or light pale pink
as for bedding, i will choose a boy and girl bedding and get them both and return the one i dont need

Thanks! It's from Target. Only online though - which ticked me off that I only realized that after driving to every Target on the island to find it. It is really cute in person though.

Re: Team Green Girls who are NOT a fan of neutrals/unisex bedding...
the walls in both nurseries will be green for us.
we originally painted the guest room up at our house a really nice light green, Behr's Celery Ice. it is an amazingly easy color to work with in terms of decorating, even if it's not a straight up neutral.
for that room, we went with aspects of this bedding/room decor (we didn't get the whole thing since we hear it's a waste of moola)
with a white crib.
for our apt, the baby's nursery will be in our bedroom, so we wanted to do something we could ALL get something out of.
we are doing green walls with chocolate brown furniture for baby and parents. we haven't picked the color yet, but may go with BM's Natura in Dill Pickle (I wanted to do no VOC here b/c we'll be painting the room now, and it's not enough time for any emissions to emit themselves from the home before the baby comes.) or Behr Grass Cloth.
for the baby's bedding/decor, we are going with Bunny Meadow

Re: Team Green Girls who are NOT a fan of neutrals/unisex bedding...
We went with a tropical theme. Orange + yellow for the walls and green for accessories and valence.
Our crib is a metal grey crib and I never worried about a bed set because I did all white. It just made the crib look even more beautiful.
The room is still set up for No 2. I just need some new white sheets =). Image Attachment(s):

DS' walls were already yellow. So we went with a sea theme that complimented it. Had we had DD, I would've bought pink sheets and put up some additioanl pink if needed. It had lots of blue...but not such a blue that you felt a girl couldn't be in there.
ETA: For DD's room we did a jungle theme. Was adorable!

Our walls were already blue, we added bue wainscotting ... and our first outing after home from the hospital was BRU where I got pinky accents - rug, hamper, nightlight, switchplate cover ...
I had also ordered two different curtain rods - boy & girl option and returned the "boyish" one.

Re: Team Green Girls who are NOT a fan of neutrals/unisex bedding...
Im undecided. The other day I thought about just waiting to paint the room until the baby gets here and then exchanging the bedding for a gender-specific one. I have only found 1 bedding set that I like.

The room is beige. We're going to pick out a boy set we like and a girl set we like and hten once the baby comes. My sister will order it for us. I figured the baby will sleep in our room for at least the first month so why not wait and get what we really like instead of going neutral.

Re: Team Green Girls who are NOT a fan of neutrals/unisex bedding...
walls are white.
I think we are just going to wait to buy bedding.. baby won't be in there right away anyway.
thinking that I am going to use DD's fingerpaints she did at school as a jumping off point....
I was thinking of reducing them, framing & matting them- so she has a "part" of the room.
colors are orange, red, turquoise, purple, green..
If I can find a plain bedding that goes- I will get it, otherwise I'll prob wait until after DC is born...

The walls in the room we are using are a pale blue. If we have a boy, our bedding is light blue, white, and navy. If we have a girl the bedding is ivory with champagne and cafe au lait accents.

When we were team green, we decided to paint the room green and then accent with gender specific colors once the baby came. This didn't last long, though. Our bedding is gender neutral- it's a celestial theme. We pained the room BM Celery Ice and Under the Big top.
here is the room pre chair rail

same here (except for the 4th kid part ). we are painting the room yellow and i'll buy sheets and a bumper when the time comes, and i'll decorate with pink or blue accents after the baby is born.
