Change in due date?
So last week I went for a pregnancy conformation sono and they told me my due date is 2/7. I went today to meet with the doctor for my first official prenantal appointment and the sono said my due date is 2/5. Did anyone else have a change in due date in the first trimester and if so which one do I go by now?

Re: Change in due date?
It's common in the beginning. You go by the last one the Dr says.

Change in due date?
Yeah it's normal. Those dates are so close together, I'd just say 2/6 since its in the middle lol.
I had 2 due dates with both pregnancies. I have long cycles and the dr always goes by my lmp whereas I go by the date of conception (because there is no question which day we conceived both times). Last time they were a week apart, and DD always measured in between. This time they're only like 3 days apart so because they're so close, I just go by what the dr says bc it's just easier. So while by my calculations, I'll hit 30 weeks (!!!) tomorrow, my dr has me being 30w3d tomorrow. So if someone were to ask me today how far along I am, I would just say around 30 weeks.

Change in due date?
I was given diff dates. One based on lmp, one based on first scan. Honestly 2 days is not a big deal.

Re: Change in due date?
My OB only changes it officially if the song is more then 1 week from the estimated based on last menstrual period. This was the case with my pregnancy this time as my sono was measuring 9 days ahead of my date based on LMP. So they moved my due date up by a week. Needless to say I went into labor and delivered at exactly 41 weeks based on my ultrasound date.

Re: Change in due date?
Mine does not change it if it is off by a couple of days. Based on my conception date my due date would be 7/3 but my dr. likes to go by LMP which is 7/5 so we have just been going by that date. My baby has been measuring bigger in sonos but he hasn't changed the date at all.

Change in due date?
It's common, the 2/7 was probably based off of LMP and then the 2/5 was based on sono growth. My LMP would have put a due date 1 full week before my sono due date, but that's because I ovulate late

Re: Change in due date?
Due date doesn't really mean too much, as it's rare to go into labor that exact day. (I wish, right? DD was 8 days date). So whichever one you want since they're so close together anyhow. If they were a week or so apart then I'd be more concerned, but in your case I'd probably just go with the last one.

Change in due date?
My LMP and all sonos have the baby at 3.5 weeks ahead of what doctors gave me. I didn't really know an exact LMP on my 1st visit because my cycle is wonky.
They based it off first sono (you know the blip on the screen lol) and never changed it since then.
So doctors have me at 33 weeks today, but by LMP and sonos I'm 37! I'm going to try and talk to my doctor at my 35 week growth sono beacuse I think this is wayyy off to be calculating this way.
The tech also measured her 3 times on my last sono (30 weeks and she was over 5 lbs every time)

Change in due date?
I had one based on my LMP and one based on my sono. The doctor said the official one in my file is the later one which is from my sono. As my doctor always likes to remind me.... the due date really means nothing... the baby is going to come when he or she wants to (or the doctor helps it along on)

Re: Change in due date?
Mine was moved up a week after the 3rd sonogram where I was measuring ahead. My initial sono had me right on target and then it seemed to be off after that. So dr just changed it when I was 16 weeks

Re: Change in due date?
Happened with my first pregnancy. Was initially 2 days earlier…..didn't matter though as I went past both due dates.

Yep, this.
Confirmation you're pregnant will have the due date based on the first day of you're last period.
Confirmation of the due date becomes more accurate when you see the size of the baby at the first (internal) sono.
Congrats!

Re: Change in due date?
For 2 days I'm surprised they changed it.
Also, remember this is all an approximation. I know the exact date I got pg both times b/c we went through fertility treatments. And I was 10 days early with my first and 15 days early with my second. So my EDD was never accurate anyway!

Same with my doc. They go by LMP. They would only change it if the baby was measuring a full 7 days different.

Re: Change in due date?
I consider myself due "the first week of November". The due date based on my LMP is 11/6. Based on the scan it's 11/7. (They still say to go by the 6th). Even though based on conception it should have been 10/31. I think that would make a fun birthday!

Re: Change in due date?
I'd go with the week of Feb 5 in general. They are hardly ever born on time anyway.
According to my LMP, I'm due Nov 7. According to my first sono, I'm due Nov 15 with this one.
With my DD, according to my LMP, she was due July 29, Sono said, Aug 4. She was born Aug. 9.
So it's totally just a guestimate! With a 2 day diff. I'd say go with what your doc says. Those sonos can change a due date if they are off by a mm.
