Re: so is there truth that sonos bother the baby?
I really don't know and I've actually wondered this. I've heard quite a few times that sonos should be limited, but I'm not sure if it actually BOTHERS them. I will say though that my sono tech was very firm on only hearing baby's HB for a mere second during the sonos I had at 6 & 8 weeks. She told me that when it's turned on, it hurts their little ears so she doesn't like doing them at all, but was willing to do at least a second so the moms can hear it. (esp the moms like me who have had early losses and need to hear it)

Re: so is there truth that sonos bother the baby?
I've heard that it creates a loud sound that babies don't like but I don't know if I believe it bothers them. First, it's already VERY loud in the womb so I'm not so sure a loud sound would be a big deal, and second, DC1 slept through a 45 minute 3d sono and we couldn't wake her up no matter what we tried, so obviously it didn't bother her much.

Never heard that. Babies are constantly moving in utero.

Does the baby even have ears at 6 and 8 weeks? At 8 weeks DD looked like a lentil bean.

LOL! I actually had to google this. It does form at 8 weeks but I doubt they can hear at that stage. Or maybe?

I don't think it bothers them either. I've had 4 sonos so far and we have only 1 shot of the baby's face at 20 weeks. Every other time, its refused to turn around. And last time it had its hand over its face

I can't really say. lol. I do know that by 6wks the ears ARE developing (inner ear tubes are forming, etc). But exactly when they begin to process sounds, I really don't know. I would assume it would be more in the second trimester, but I also figured the sono tech would know what she was talking about. haha. Who knows!!
