Pony Party
This is so cruel. I'm sorry to say it. Especially with the heat but just in general. :(

Seriously?
I love animals. I would never hire someone for my son's birthday that was cruel to animals. The particular company I used are family owned and operated and they have an amazing, sprawling, and beautiful farm for these animals. The family lives on site. They lovingly care for them every single day. On weekends they take them around and give them an opportunity to be socialized and interact with people for parties. It also gives children like my son a chance to learn about farm animals, pet them, and interact. They set up in a nice area of my yard. The animals were meticulously groomed and cared for. Again you can see in my album how nice they looked. The owners of the farm and caretakers themselves are the two attendants who come and handle the animals. No one else does. They transport them in utter luxury. I saw this all personally. I was actually amazed by it all.
The heat is your issue?? What FARM is enclosed, indoor, or air conditioned on earth?? These are farm animals - whether they are used to socialize in parties or just kept on a farm like they live on 24/7 how can they escape heat?? That's just a ridiculous statement.
I'm sorry but I had to take you to task on that Bc it's incredibly misinformed - again, I can only speak for Lollipop Bc I researched it, visited personally the ranch they live on which is where the two sisters who are attendants live and care for all those animals everyday... And saw personally how they are when they came for the party itself. I love animals and I will defend myself to no end against someone calling me out as being cruel. That is so off base.

They were at my son's daycare for farm day and they were fantastic. They were patient and wonderful with the kids.

It's funny Bc I didn't know - I had seen other goats and stuff be bottle fed at other farms so I was like oh will you bring bottles for them? And the sisters were like oh noooo they should not have milk or any kind of dairy beyond like birth or the very beginning of life. She goes, it's very bad for their digestive tract... she's like we only feed them organic grain and a very special diet... Sure enough they were plump, healthy, and their coats shined. I felt a little ignorant after for asking but I didn't know that about goats.

Pony Party
DaniJude,
How many kids did you have at the party? I would love to do a party like this but my fear is that the kids would all want to ride the pony and since its kind of right in their face (unlike a farm where you can walk away and do something else) they will cry when it isn't their turn. You know? My DD will be 3.

I know you asked Dani but i'll chime in lol.
My niece had a pony party at the house. The company made the kids line up and wait their turn. Since it was in our front yard, we had some hula hoops and outside stuff to play with in case they got bored waiting. Kids were fine, no issues waiting. It wasn't a long wait in between turns.

Re: Pony Party
We had twelve kids at the party.
They had the pony set up in the front yard.
Each kid lined up... This was after they already played with and fed the rest of the animals for forty minutes. So they each waited their turn... It was one ride around the yard and then a quick pic and next. So it worked out great and each kid went twice and could have went three times if they had wanted to.
I know for larger parties they sometimes suggest bringing two ponies. You could ask about that.
They have been doing this since like the 70's lol I'm sure there's no scenario they have not encountered. My cousin who is 33... She had them for her fifth birthday party!!!! Same people! Amazing.
