Also, I don't think we should pick a date just yet, get some information. Then do a poll whether July or Aug is better. But I agree it should not be a holiday weekend.

okay most of the july & august saturdays are taken already. Also we would need to know almost exactly how many people there would be they have a ground for 100, 150, 200 people and priced accordingly. also if there is to be beer there is another cost. we really need to find out how many people and what weekend would be the best for all. AS soon as possible

So I got through...Apparently they have a few pinic areas. One is a reserved area, one is non reserved (field # 3) Field #3 is first come, first served but FREE. So someone would have to be there early to hold spots. To register/reserve a spot, it would be like $100.00 and then another $35.00 if we wanted to have alcohol. A Nassau resident (that shoots me down) with a valid leisure pass would have to reserve the area if we wanted a guaranteed spot.
Suggestions guys??
great!!! I think it would be good for the kids to come though, they can meet one another and play. we all have toys- I dont have kids but I would love to meet everyone and thier families!!! we could bring frisbees, balls, anything.

Don, no way you have to come!!! there will be lots of people we can also invite friends to help keep the cost down too!!! the more the better!!!

I feel the same as Don .. its an awesome idea, but I truly think this is a more FAMILY thing and wihtout having kids yet, I'd feel kinda out of it
Maybe aside from organizing it on NFR, you will get more action /feedback about this on FHF or parenting too?

I dont have kids either but I still think it would be great to have a huge turnout. It doesnt matter if kids are there? its like when youre at a family function.
