TMI but hellllp
I didn't have them during my pregnancy but got lots of them as a result of bearing down and pushing for extended periods of time during labor and delivery. Mine did all go away, but it took about 5-6 weeks post birth for that to happen. In the meantime, going to the bathroom was excruciatingly painful. I took 2 Colace stool softeners a day which helped and used Tucks medicated wipes.

I got them after birth, and the nurses said to wear a long pad and then line the pad with the medicated tucks wipes, so that they were always touching my "area". It helped with the stitches too. I also used a medicated spray, but I can't remember the name of that.

I have them now almost 3 weeks post delivery and I had a csection. Didn't have them at all during pregnancy but may I suggest tucks pads and stool softeners.

A few things that helped me - Colace, Tuck Pads, Epsom Salt Baths, drink lots and lots of water. I was also uncomfortable and my OB prescribed something to me which I ended up not using bc eventually it resolved itself on it's own. Hope you feel better!

Agree with Colace and Tucks pads. I got them while in labor. They were REALLY painful for about a week or so but by 2 weeks pp I didn't feel them anymore. Once you have them, you have them (unless you have it surgically removed) but they will flare up and go down. It won't always be so bad! If it's really bothering you, talk to your dr.

I had them so bad my first trimester! I even went to a colon/rectal specialist beacuse I was in sooo much pain! Your OB can prescribe ProCort(sp) for them and lidocaine gel which is a god send. I took Colace (2capsules) every day and drank tons of water. Also cold witch hazel saoked cotton balls tucked in there can be an amazing form of relief. Hang in ther Momma! They are the worst!
