Cerclage

I am 17.5 weeks and my cervix has been shortening a lot each week. I'm down to 2.5. (History: @ 28 weeks with my last pregnancy I was put on bed rest bc of pre term labor, shortened cervix and low fluid).

Anyone have the cerclage and everything was ok?
I'm so scared I don't get it soon enough and go into labor. I know this pregnancy isn't viable yet so it's all freaking me out. On top of this I was supposed to start a new job and the dr suggested not to. Right now I'm a sahm and my husband doesn't have a job. He was going to stay with our lo and me work.

My head is spinning. I'm so scared. Any words of encouragement or wisdom!?

Cerclage

I had a cerclage placed at 16 weeks 2 days. I went into labor at 21 weeks with my last pregnancy and lost my twins so I was monitored very closely this time around. I was at 3.5 when they did the cerclage..I'm now 32 weeks and it's still holding strong! I would suggest having one put in asap. Everyone's experience is different, but I was on bed rest for 10 days after the surgery and then allowed to go back to work.

Wow. Thanks. Because I made it to "full" term they are waiting. It's not my choice to have one or not else I prob would have had one last week. I'm at 2.5 today and are rechecking me thursday and monday. The high risk dr said he will wait until 1.5 to do one. I'm getting a second opinion next Monday. Glad you are doing well!!
