CLEP tests and DOE
So I'm a little confused...my understanding is that the DOE won't give you credit for a test in a subject area that you have taken in Undergrad? I've taken just about every type of class possible; I feel like my CLEP options would be very limited. Can anyone clarify this "rule" for me??

Re: CLEP tests and DOE
I need clarification on this as well because I took a class in almost every subject in college. I'm confused.

CLEP tests and DOE
literally just got off the phone with HR connect about this. So I took one test and passed, but was told that if any test covers 50% or more material of a class you previously took in college, it will not be accepted. They also told me that it's by "chance" in some ways, because some transcript reviewers don't care, while others really look into it (they weren't supposed to tell me that, but said to just keep that in mind). They said it could be worth the risk because they are so affordable, but that doing credits through FEMA is a 100% guarantee. For FEMA, it's like a 15 question test and you get 1 credit for passing each one. The answers are in the study guides provied for each course and you can just do control+F and search the syllabus for all the answers. Was so easy!
It took me about 3 days to get my 30 credits through FEMA. You can go here: http://www.frederick.edu/degrees-certificates/emergency-management.aspx and click the tab that says "credit conversion for FEMA IS courses"

Omg so ridiculous. I took just about every subject in undergrad. I don't think I will have many options there.
Wow, that's awesome that they have the answers, thanks! I'm going to take some FEMA credits too. Actually, I have a question about FEMA- I have taken 1 of the tests, passed, and now what? When do you pay?

Thank you so much for the info! I took a KDSI course this summer but I'm still waiting for my grade and don't know how to send information to the DOE. Has anyone taken these courses?
