Dutch Wonderland Rave

Just wanted to let you guys know how awesome Dutch Wonderland was for my special needs daughter.

My 7 year old is Dyspraxic and has Hypotonia. We got the red star bracelets for guests with disabilities at guest services that allowed us to enter a ride at the exit (plus we were allowed to ride a ride twice in a row if we wanted to) and it made our trip absolutely amazing. There was absolutely no anxiety meltdowns or meltdowns over crowds or loud noises because we didn't have to wait in long lines. Not having to get off of the lines multiple times for bathroom visits let us actually enjoy rides instead of just watching. No one made us feel out of place or wrong for using them either. We had no problem waiting our turn, but by waiting at the exit and not having to wait in the lines made such a difference. My girl was all smiles and we all had a great time.

Wish I knew this when we went 2 weeks ago! My twins were nuts and one (who has ADHD) basically screamed on line and tantrummed because he cannot wait for anything. It was so miserable for us that we left after 2 hours exhausted! DH was so upset. He was like we are never going anywhere again.

Love Dutch, my son is older, but still has fun there. Something for everyone!

Hershey also has a program for those with disabilities. Very similar to Dutch.
