I don't have a Moby wrap but my sis lent me her "sleepy wrap" which I like a lot. Easy to travel with since it's really just fabric so that's something to keep in mind versus an ergo baby. It's nice for a stroll or on vacation when you're walking around and don't want to deal with a stroller. Not that one goes on a picnic everyday, lol, but it would be nice for that if you're bringing lots of stuff and don't want a stroller.

I'm curious about this too - I don't plan on baby-wearing per se, just need something easy, light, inexpensive when I need a free set of hands when we are out and about, especially that I'll have a 3 year old also to run after.

I'm a big fan. Used one all the time with DD (bjjorn & then ergo). But we did use it from about 2 months on... DS hated it... So I'd borrow one for a while & see how it goes.

I have a chicco one and a wrap. I like the chicco much better. DD falls asleep in it when we're out. She hates the car seat and it makes shopping much more manageable. The wrap takes work, the chicco I can just put her in and go. I bring it with me everywhere in case she gets cranky. We walked the Bronx zoo with it, the supermarket, pretty much anywhere. I've been using It since she was about 3 weeks old.

Love mine. Used them for both dds. When they are newborns I like the Bjorn. When they are 3 months and on def the ergo. I use it for a free at of hands around the house. Especially now that I have 2, 2 and under.
It's also great when you go places and the stroller takes up so mich space you bump people or they bump you.

I have two Ergos and love them. I especially love them now that DD is big enough to back carry. They're going to be a lifesaver with this baby comes along and I'm running around after a 2yo. ETA: I made sure to get the infant insert so I could use it with DD when she was a newborn.

I used the Moby wrap for walks when DS was tiny and then the Beco Gemini for all sorts of outings when he was a little bigger. We used it up until he was 2 1/2! He even falls asleep in it.

I liked my Moby wrap for around the house, doing chores, because it felt less bulky than my Ergo. But I liked the Ergo for out and about, because it was easier to put on. I liked to use the Ergo during grocery shopping or anytime I didn't want to deal with a stroller.
