Crashing with a question about testing if you're over 35
What tests are typically for a mom who's over 35 and what week are each done? Asking for a friend. Thanks!

My dr only mentioned doing the non invasive test because id be 35 before the baby is born (harmony, panorama, maternit21... Usually between 11-13w along with the NT scan). Depends on the persons ins. After that if there's reason to test further than its either the amino or CVS (I could be wrong but I think those are done after 17w)... Other than that I don't know of any other age specific tests.

I had my 3rd over 35 and no additional testing. I am know pregnant with my 4th and am 40 and didn't do anything different just the Maternity 21 - which I don't think existed a few years ago.

Materniti21 can be done at about 9 weeks.
My risks were so low, I didn't do any further testing.
We did have a NT (similar to other pregnancies), no triple screen.

The only additional test was the fetal DNA in maternal blood one (materni21, panorama, etc.) around 9 or 10 weeks. After that the normal round of tests that everyone gets.

Thanks ladies. Scheduling is a big issue for the mom so I will mention the maternity 21 and see if she can get it scheduled soon.

I was over 35 and did not have any additional tests. My ob does not do additional tests based on age.
