morning sickness/exhaustion
I found that not eating always made me feel worse. I had bad all day sickness and even if I wasn't hungry I would still try to have a bagel or something in my stomach. As for the exhaustion, I just slept whenever. There was no beating it for me- 2:00pm I was exhausted then I got a small second wind but by 8:00 I was useless. I'm still proud of the fact that one night I fell asleep at 7:30 on the couch, went up to bed after a few hours and slept until 8:00am the next morning lol.

Re: morning sickness/exhaustion
I'm still very early in my pregnancy (6 weeks) so I haven't had MS too bad. But I do find if I don't drink enough water I start to feel a little sick. I just try to keep hydrated and keep snacks on me at all times.
As for exhaustion... I'm the same. In bed and usually fast asleep by 8:00 PM. Considering I don't get home from work until about 6:30, it kinda stinks. I used to be SUCH a night owl!

Make sure you eat something every few hours. Hunger makes me SO much worse. I keep pretzels on my night stand. I read an article that said to eat a cracker or something when you get up to pee a million times. Empty stomach is your enemy. Even if you don't want something, make yourself eat it. If it's carbs, who cares. I lost 7 lbs last time and gained it back in 2nd and 3rd trimesters. This time I can't do anything about the fatigue because I have a 1 year old but I try to nap when she does. I'm a teacher so I'm off for the summer and I'm dreading going back to school this tired. I don't know how I'll cope, except maybe to go to bed when DD does around 8. I'm a major night owl too!

Re: morning sickness/exhaustion
I went through that. Eat little meals at a time, I had to load up on carbs . However, my 24 hour mornings sickness got so bad a needed a prescription for Zofran. It was a lifesaver,r

Zofran. It never mattered what I ate or drank, nothing stayed down. Nothing. Hopefully you don't get to that point, but if you do, there is relief!

Light meals often, eat slow, always keep crackers on you, ginger mints, ginger ale for MS. I feel your pain. I'm 17 weeks and stil throwing up and gagging here and there. Till 16w I was constantly sick
For exhaustion, that just has to go away on its own. I have a 17 month old so I need my coffee. I can't have it till later in the morning and after eating.

Diclegis, small meals, ice cold water, not lying down after eating, staying in a/c, reading favorite books to distract myself... I feel your pain. I'm over 13 weeks and I don't think the nausea has peaked for me, yet.

Re: morning sickness/exhaustion
Was just coming online to complain! Today I'm nauseous and have a horrible headache. Eating helps, a little at a time. And try not to lay down immediately after. Today the headache is killing me!!!

my doctor just prescribed diclegis, but i don't like how it makes me feel. i took it before bed and it kept me up all night. it also felt like the pills were sitting in the bottom of my empty stomach. did you experience anything like that?

It's such a tough thing but I really would try to eat bland just to have something in your stomach.
One morning when I was about 12 weeks I was brushing my teeth and convinced myself the new tube tasted like cigarettes- needless to say I was so sick and went through a few different tubes of toothpaste until I finally realized I was just a nut job lol. Hope you feel better soon!

No, I actually feel it stuck in my esophagus more than sitting at the bottom of my stomach. I just try to drink as much water as I can with the diglecis and pray that I fall asleep quickly. Ugh, good luck!

The Diclegis def helps with the nausea/vomiting. It wears off at night, though, even though I take the max dosage, and then I am either vomiting or trying to hold it in. During the day, I either feel relatively normal or just a little queasy. Mornings are when I feel the best. I haven't thrown up at all during the day since I went on Diclegis.
Drinking as much water as I can with the pills helps me with my feeling that they are stuck in my esophagus, but I just overall feel so gross at night, I don't think much will help except time.

morning sickness/exhaustion
I don't know about you ladies, but its anything but morning sickness. Mine gets worse at night. I am 9w1d due April 6th with twins. In week 7-8, I was doing the ginger chews, ginger ale, ginger tea thing. Then I got sick of ginger. Was doing the saltine crackers, ritz crackers thing. This week, I needed to step it up because I started vomiting. I've discovered peppermint essential oil helps (smelling it or putting a drop on my tongue), sweet tarts and lays potato chips. It seems to be helping and I can actually eat. I can't wait to get past this phase (assuming its a phase).

Funny with DD my MS hit hard at 5 weeks. I'm almost 7 weeks now and though I've been getting waves of nausea here and there I thought I may be clear..nope this morning woke up and I feel like crap.

morning sickness/exhaustion
I'm almost 9 weeks and I only have some MS symptoms while flying or in cars. It actually makes me a little nervous b/c I've read a lot of literature that says the more sick you are, the healthier the pregnancy. I know some women have no MS and go on to have healthy babies but I hear less of that. I also normally have a weak stomach so I'm surprised that I of all people don't have bad MS.

I wouldn't stress out about that. My friend has a super weak stomach..like if she eats anything bad within the hour she's bringing it up.
Anyway when she got pregnant she didn't have one ounce of morning sickness. She was surprised too since her stomach was so sensitive and when she was on birth control she would get sick but she had a healthy baby boy so who knows.
