If you started measuring ahead in 3rd tri
Did you go into labor early or just have a giant baby?
Based on my original dates, I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow. Based on my appointment this week, baby is 7.5lbs and measuring almost 39 weeks. My belly is measuring 40!!!! I'm scheduled for a csection on October 12th... how much bigger am I going to get?! I know that the weight of the baby isn't accurate, but the measurement of my belly is! I carried twins up until 38 weeks and they were 15lbs combined... this pregnancy has been way more uncomfy. I don't get it lol.
So back to my question.... If you started measuring ahead, did you deliver earlier? Just curious...

DD1 was measuring over 7lbs at 37w4d. She was born at 39w via induction weighing 7lbs5oz.
DD2 was measuring over 7lbs at 36w. She was born at 40w via c section after a failed induction weighing 7lbs15oz.

Re: If you started measuring ahead in 3rd tri
I was measuring 2 weeks ahead. Due to the measurements and it being my second I was induced at 39.3. I had a large baby! 9lbs 11ounces. Crazy. I'm scared to have a third!

If you started measuring ahead in 3rd tri
My sister's baby was measuring ahead and they kept saying she was in the 10-10.5 range. My niece was born one week late and weighed 11 pounds.

I don't think there's any correlation.
For what it's worth, with my son I was always measuring ahead. He was 10 days early. 7lb, 14oz.
With my daughter I never measured ahead. She was 15 days early. 7lb, 4oz.

Re: If you started measuring ahead in 3rd tri
this just happened to me!
baby started measuring ahead when I was 27w. her head and belly kept measuring 2 weeks ahead from that point on! I was getting super nervous that she would be too big for me to deliver vaginally. my doc decided to induce me at 39w because she was weighin in at 9.5 lbs and I was only 1 cm. So yes, I ended up having a bigger baby. she was 9.2 lbs at birth ( 39w1d)

Thank you all!!! Sounds like it could go either way. It's the unknown that is killing me! I hope he doesn't make me wait until my scheduled csection.

Re: If you started measuring ahead in 3rd tri
I was measuring a week and a half ahead the whole pregnancy. I had sonos every 2 weeks (high-risk) and they told me that the baby was in the 65th percentile. They estimated he'd be 8 - 8.5 pounds. So there wasn't even a discussion about c-section; they just induced me at 40 weeks exactly and the plan was to have a vaginal birth. Surprise! He was born at 10 lbs., 2 oz. via c-section (failure to progress... obviously!)

Re: If you started measuring ahead in 3rd tri
I would not trust the growth sonos at all! I was told my DD was going to be huge (In fact there are probably posts I made stating this) and was measuring ahead all along, I thought she was going to be 10 lbs at the rate they were telling me she was growing. I had her 8 days early (induced b/c my water broke) and she was 7 lb 1 ounce so had she been born on time she probably would have been under 8 lbs.
