3rd tri birth weight predictions vs what you had

I'm curious as to what your babies birth weight predictions were before you had DC and how close they actually were. I know those things can be off. We had our 33 week growth sono last night and they're predicting he'll be 6.5, which is shocking to us since we are big people and I was mid 8's at birth and DH was mid 9's. I know that doesn't mean he'd be small his whole life either, and hey, if that makes birth easier for me, I'm all for it! I was just curious. TIA!

I had a sono at 34 weeks and they said she was 6lb 15oz and she was born 1 week later and she was 6lb 13oz. They were pretty close.

Mine was exactly right at 36 weeks. Also, I was in the hospital three days before i had him and they did one then too and it was 8 lbs 5oz...he was 8 lbs 7 oz....

I was told Andrew was going to be soo big that it was a good thing we were having a scheduled c-section.

Well he was born 6lbs 15oz

My doctor said they didn't do growth sonograms because they are so inaccurate........at my 36 week appointment she told me "I had a lot of baby in there" and didn't think I was going to be late - he was born 4 days later, and weighed 6lbs 14 ozs.

3 weeks before Jack was born they told me he was currently measuring at 8 lbs 2 oz. 3 wks later he was born 9 lbs 11 oz

At 32 weeks, DD was 5lbs. I was told to expect high 8 lbs low 9lb baby.

DD was born 7lbs 2oz's at 39w4d's.

i had a sonogram about 2 hours before dd was born to confirm her breech postiton. they said she was 7 and 1/2 pounds. she was born at 9 lbs even.

My Dr. said 8lbs and said told me it was a boy ( i didn't ask she just said it was a boy) well SHE was 6lbs. 11 ounces and a girl.

Mine told me that the baby would be big but no one expected how big - 9 10.

Mine said he would be over 8, and he was 8lbs, 3 oz...pretty good.

Had a sono at 34 weeks. Predicted weight was 3-4lbs at the time. At 34.5 weeks, he was born 6lbs 7oz.

34 week son for Maddie, they were predicting she would be born weighing about 8lbs. She was born at 39 weeks, weighing 7lbs 12oz.

growth sono done a week before measured 6 pounds 12 ozs...baby was born at 7 pounds 1 ozs...pretty close!

at the hospital they said 7 pounds at least
when she came out , 5lbs, 13 ounces

At my sono at 41 weeks they told me he was going to be 9lb 11oz. they did a c-section the next day and he was 9lbs 4oz.. not that far off.

at 38 weeks..they said 9.5 I think, he was born on due date at 9.7

My son always measured on the big side but then slowed down some but I had a sono about 3 days before I went into labor - end of my 36th week and said he was 7lbs. He was born 7lbs 2 oz at 37 weeks.

I didn't have a sono to predict the weight. Instead the midwives I used each felt my stomach at various appts and predicted. They all said between 7 and 8 lbs and DD was 7 lbs 9 oz

At 36 weeks they measured him to be 7lbs 10oz.

He was born at 39w4d 7lbs 10oz.

At 40 weeks we were told she would be large, between 9.5-10lbs.....She was born at 41 weeks at 7lbs 15 oz. It seriously caused me a lot of un-need stress towards the end! They can be off about 2 lbs either way

Wow, some were right on and some were so off. Seems like a crap shoot to me. We'll find out soon enough how close they are. Thanks!

I can't remember when my last sono was. 36 weeks?? He was measuring 7 lbs and change. He was born 41 weeks, 1 day at 9 lbs, 7 oz.

the predicted 8lbs, and she was 7-13..pretty close and I was 9 days early.

i didnt have a growth sono but the doctors predicted she would be over 8 pounds - they were wayyyyyy off. she was only 6.2

At 32 weeks DD was measuring 5 lbs, at 36 weeks 7 lbs 5 oz and at the week before she was born, 8 lbs 10 oz. She was 9 lbs 3 oz when she was born so all of them were on the money. I was kinda hoping they would be off.
