Bathroom
well... we tried to do a mini reno but decided it wouldn't be worth it.
so we are doing a gut job on our main bathroom.
1st contractor said it would take 3 weeks (he did our kitchen in 4....!)
2 questions: 1) how long did your bathroom gut & redo take?
2) suggest stores for vanities/tile/tub/toilet/etc!
Thanks!

Bathroom
I did a gut myself and it took just over 3 weeks so a professional should be able to do it unless its HUGE!
We got tub and toilet from HD/Lowes. Tile I got at Prada Tile in Levittown. Sink I bought online.

Re: Bathroom
I got my tile from Prada as well. They let me take the boards home so I could study them, lol!

depends on your budget...
I got my bathroom stuff from lowes mostly or online.
I got some special order at home depot.
For my kitchen we got tile at Proceda tile in deer park.
if you have the budget there are plenty of other tile stores. I personally like "The Tile Shop" in westbury, lots of set up bathrooms, we didn't buy anything...
fixtures I liked Green Art Plumbing supply, we went to freeport for stuff. I also ordered a lot from Faucetdirect.com, including the toilets, which came broken, but they replaced.

Re: Bathroom
Soup to nuts was probably about 3-4 weeks, but that includes minor things like installing matching moulding around the door, fixing some lighting issues we had, etc. Otherwise, demolition was one day, first layer (dry way, etc.) another day, tiling and letting it set and installations of fixtures another 6 days or so total. Plumber was another day, electrician another day. So maybe 10 days total for the bulk of it.

Bathroom
We are doing our master bath and all 3 contractors estimated 1.5-2 weeks depending on if any issues arise. I guess it depends on how big your bathroom is too.

Re: Bathroom
We gutted both bathrooms ourselves.
Bathroom number 1 was 7 weeks it was a plumbing/electric nightmare with crazy water damage that required replacing adjacent walls in our kitchen and floor joists. We also did a all custom wood work and wood walls instead of sheet rock so that took a lot of time.
Both Bathrooms were latacreted (sp) which takes 2 days alone.
Bathroom 2 was 4 weeks which including jack hammering our entire concrete floor to move plumbing.
We got vanities from Costco and Home Depot. Our main concern was the material in which they were made from. If you are ordering from Home Depot you may want to make sure it says made from solid wood because in store they have a lot of pressboard and that won't last very long.
Our tubs were from blackmans as well as all of our fixtures/shower body.
Tiolet was from HD
All of our tile came from Roma in Holbrook
