Restaurant near Madison Square Garden

DH, his BFF and his son who is 12 and I are going to Billy Joel Saturday night. Any suggestions on a nice but reasonable place to eat? We were thinking Italian. Lugo Café looks good but it looks like they are closed on Saturday’s.
Any suggestions within walking distance?

Lugos is way expensive and the food is mediocre at best.
