Need some prayers please - Update: ectopic pregnancy
This has been such a stressful pregnancy from day 1. The day after I got my BFP I had some red bleeding. I was terrified but it was too early to do much of anything. Luckily, It was nothing (probably still implantation bleeding).
But then on Tuesday night of this week, at 6 weeks pregnant, I went to use the bathroom only to find that I was again bleeding. It was a dark dark red color and enough that it completely filled the toilet paper. It was accompanied by AF-like cramping. I went to see my OB the next day but at that point it had turned to brown spotting, He sent me for a Beta which came back at 1880. I have an ultrasound scheduled for Monday to see how everything is doing. Yesterday I had a second Beta done to make sure my HCG was still rising. I haven't gotten the results of that yet (should hear sometime today). But last night when I came home from work, I bled again. It was the same color - dark red. And again it was enough to fill an entire handful of toilet paper. There was also what looked like a very small amount of tissue (possibly cervical lining?) in the toilet. Sorry...I know TMI. This time it was not accompanied by any cramping.
I'm so worried. First, I feel like my initial HCG was on the lower end for 6 weeks. Secondly, I've had not even an ounce of morning sickness, whereas with my first I had it starting at 5 weeks. And with the bleeding....I just have a bad feeling.
I could use some prayers today Really hoping my HCG comes back higher today. It's killing me to have to wait until Monday for the ultrasound.
Update 1:15PM: OB called back with the second set of betas and unfortunately in a 24 hour period I only went from 1880 to 2200. She really didn't go into what this could mean, but she did schedule me for a sonogram at 4:30 today. I have a feeling this will just be more of a waiting game since my OB's office closes at 5PM and I cant imagine they will receive and read the results and call me with them before they close. At this point I'm devastated. With my betas rising that slowly, I'm fairly certain I'm headed towards losing this little one
Final Update: Unfortunately our ultrasound on Friday did not go well. They saw what they thought was an ectopic pregnancy, sent me to the ER where they were unsure if it was truly ectopic or a cyst (they also saw a sac in my uterus so they were concerned that I was miscarrying naturally but had a cyst on the ovary). I was sent home to miscarry naturally and have my doctor discuss options with me about removal of the "cyst". That never happened. On Sunday night I woke up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I suddenly lost a LOT of blood and passed out on the bathroom floor. DH found me minutes later after hearing me hit the floor, rushed me back to the ER, and I was rushed into emergency surgery to remove a ruptured fallopian tube. I had an ectopic pregnancy that grew from 3mm to 5mm within 2 days and destroyed my left tube DH and I are devastated. I'm still in a decent amount of pain, but I'm getting better each day. Mostly we're just so sad and kind of still in shock of it all. It happened so fast that it's been hard to even process. On the bright side, the doctor said that my other tube and both ovaries look great and I should have no problem conceiving down the road. We're in no mental or physical place for that right now, but it's encouraging to know that when the time comes, we can.

Re: Need some prayers please
i bled for a lot of my first trimester. i remember waking up one morning to use the bathroom and the toilet was filled with bright red blood. i was certain i lost my twins. i rushed over to my doctor's office and the babies were fine. that was probably around 6 weeks. from then on, i had dark/brown blood for weeks. i was so nervous and hated waiting until my next appointment, but every time i went, the babies were fine.
i know you're scared and worried, but try not to stress

Thank you so much for your story - it's helping to ease my mind
I'm trying so hard to stay positive. It's just so scary to wipe and see that much blood. You just automatically panic and think "this CANT be normal".

Re: Need some prayers please
Plenty of people bleed in their first trimester although it is very scary. Personally, I wouldn't wait until Monday for a sono. Can they get you in for a sono today as an emergency? If not I would go to an ER..that's just me though. You are stressed enough from the bleeding. I think the sono would tell you definitively what's going on good or bad. Sending you

I argued with them yesterday to try to get a sooner appointment. The doctor wanted me in for the sono either yesterday or today. The radiology place said they had no appointments sooner than Monday. I agree - the sono is more definitive and at least I would know what's going on.

Re: Need some prayers please
hope everything is ok. The good part is it isn't bright red. Dark means old. You could have a scratched cervix, implantation or even placenta previa. Something totally normal in a heathy pregnancy.
Hope the new beta has risen a lot

That sucks. I just remembered that my SIL around 6 weeks too one night woke up gushing blood. She freaked out was sure something was wrong. She ended up going to the ER and it turned out she had a subchorionic hematoma. They did a sono right there and were able to tell and she was also able to see the baby and the heartbeat so there could be sooo many causes to bleeding not all bad. Good luck I'll continue for you and the baby

Need some prayers please
I am sorry to are going through this! I was bleeding on and off in the beginning too. They put me on Progesterone and it stopped. they also found a SCH. I bled again at 12.5 weeks, from another small SCH. I would demand a scan ASAP, because you may need Progesterone, or it could be an SCH. I am currently a little over 14 weeks and baby is doing great, so keep your head up, there are so many reasons for bleeding with the baby still being fine.

I agree 100%. I also spotted in the first tri- first it was a progesterone issue and then they found a small SCH. The SCH was found at 1am on a Saturday in the ER because I refused to wait until Monday. If you can get to the ER it might save you from a very miserable weekend. Good luck!!!!

Re: Need some prayers please
I am 7w along and I had some red spotting. I was concerned so I went in for an early sono. Turns out the baby is fine, it's just a subchronic hematoma. I hope it's something similar for you. It's scary to see bleeding but it might be nothing. Lots of luck to you! And I agree with the other girls, I think you should seriously consider going to the ER instead of waiting until Monday.

Need some prayers please - Update
I spotted alo for the first few weeks. My betas also didn't rise the way the doc thought they should.I was told on more than one occasion to prepare for a miscarriage and guess what I am 33 weeks now! Hang in ther Momma and trust your body. Relax as much as you can.
