What other tests can they do?
41 years old and on my 4th non-medicated iui (very fearful of twins even a low % chance is too much for me) So far the HSG?? Test shows my tubes are fine. I have produced an egg each cycle and ovulated on my own with no trigger shot. Progesterone has never been found to be low. Lining is always good. My AMH is 2.2 I have one child born when I was 38 and a miscarriage at 14 weeks when I was 40 due to trisomy 21. Other than this I am not aware of any other early miscarriages or chemical pregnancies. Been trying for a year and no luck on our own. DH had 2 sperm analysis done and one showed slight male factor and second a month later showed severe make factor due to low motility and morphology issues. IUIs have been back to back each month with a total of about 5 million sperm combined. He did see urologist who said testosterone was low and put him on clomid. This should improve the sperm count but not the motility or morphology. We will likely move to IVF next and do a single egg transfer. Is there anything else I am missing here? Realizing how important it is to be my own advocate but still feel lost in terms of how to do that! This is do hard and confusing and this bored has been a great resource and support so thank you all!

If indeed your DH has severe MF the chances of IUI diminish greatly. Combined with age even more so. We have severe MF IF and IUI wasn't even an option for us. Have you had the saline sono where the test your uterus? If not I would ask for it. I think it's done before IVF regardless.
Honestly I was 28 when I did my first IVF and 36 for this IVF. Both times we put back 2 nice embryos and both times I got pregnant with one baby so even when I was in my 20's it didn't produce a twin pregnancy. Unless you are prepared to do another IVF $$$ I would try to put back more than one but that is JMO. :)
Either way good luck with the IVF..the success rates are much higher

Thank you. They have not done the saline sonogram. I will ask about that.

The saline sono is very important as it identifies any abnormalities in your uterus that may cause implantation issues. Good luck!!

The saline sono was done once I said I wanted to go ahead with IVF. I don't think it's typically done when you first see an RE. But being that you are headed towards IVF, then I'd assume your doctor will do it.

Re: What other tests can they do?
Just curious why did the dr not recommend IVF after the second sperm analysis? My husband had 140mil sperm count but awful numbers for mobility, and morphology. We were advised to do IVF w/ICSI.

Re: What other tests can they do?
I had two successful IUI's, both working on the first try. MF, extremely low motility. First time I had 3 follicles, but only one leading. Second time I had 6 follicles... All ready to go! RE consulted me and canceling the cycle because of the high risk of multiples (more then 2). I'm currently 15w4d with 1 baby!
Clomid and Ovadril used both times.
ETA: 1st pregnancy also resulted in 1 baby but sadly lost her at 8 weeks, sorry about your loss!!!
