40th birthday
My girlfriends and I want to go out for my 4oth birthday on Saturday. Only thing is we don't know where to go! Thinking dinner and something else, but what? We live on south shore, Nassau county, but are open to all suggestions. Thank you!

What about starting out earlier and heading to the wineries? Maybe stop at some of the pumpkin farms and other shoppes out East?

Garden City is a good spopt for dinner/drinks/bars - Novita & Waterzooi come to mind.
Prime in Huntington is kind of a 'scene' - I assume the patio is still open
Rare 650 is a similar scene, without the water .....
Salumi is great for tapas and wine
what do you have in mind as 'something else' ?

I was shocked at how long Prime's outdoor patio is still functional! Last year, in late October, we went for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. It was at night and COLD, and the hostess was like, do you want to sit outside? We thought she was joking! But they have those huge heaters all over and it literally felt like we were inside but we were out. And bc it wasn't hot... No bugs! It was amazing. And I was wearing a cap sleeved shirt with a skirt and hosiery but I wasn't dressed warm.
So we recently went again and same thing - chilly night but we sat out. They later lit their firepit outside and that was SO nice to sit around after dinner to have a drink.
So yeah I'm with Marisa's suggestion of Prime -- great food and Huntington has tons to do - you can stay there or go someplace else after for dancing/music.

I second vineyards, always one of my favorite things to do!
But if you want to go at night and stay local, I always am a fan of wine & tapas. Novita in Garden City, Fino in Bayside, or La Placha, which is the same owners as Salumi in Garden City.
