Checklist for Returning to Work & Pumping
Hi girls,
I'm going back to work in two weeks and I'm making a list of what I'll need to try pumping at my desk in my office. I know there are a couple things I need to buy so I wanted to get this done now. Anyone with experience notice that I am missing anything?
To bring and leave at work initially: -An extra blouse (black?) that would go with a lot of outfits in case I leak or spill milk on myself. -A box of 80 Kiinde Twist 6-oz Bags -My pump with tubing and power cord -A set of Kiinde twist Medela adapters -All the plastic pump parts -Pumping hands-free bra -Medela pump wipes -Medela Microwave steam bag -Order a mini fridge for my desk? -Roll of paper towels to have at my desk -gallon ziplock bag for clean pump parts -soap and brush to wash parts if needed -a bunch of breast pads
To bring to/from work each day: -Medela cooler with frozen ice pack -Bringing home the pumped milk each day

Checklist for Returning to Work & Pumping
I kept a pump and a nursing cover (in case anyone walked in, and believe me, people did) at work. I brought a small bag with the pump parts and bottles inside every day. I also brought my hands free bra every day until I just bought one to leave at work. When I finished pumping, i put the bottles and pump parts in the bag and put that in the fridge. Then I would bring the bag home at night and wash the parts.
I didn't brunch a cooler or ice packs or clean the parts while at work.

Re: Checklist for Returning to Work & Pumping
You are way more prepared then I ever was!
I had two pumps. I kept one at work and one at home. At work, I had:
Pump Simple Wishes Hands Free Pumping Bra Medela Wipes A few pump parts (bottles, caps, etc) A few pumping bags for the days I forgot to retock my extra pumping parts!
I never washed the pump stuff at work. I had a little soft cooler/lunch bag that I kept the milk and parts in and I stuck it in the work fridge.

Same here. I brought the parts home each day. If you do that, I suggest leaving an extra set at work - there will be days when you forget them!

Checklist for Returning to Work & Pumping
I brought everything back and forth each day
In my bag I had: pump, tubing, flanges, bottles. I had a hands free bra but never used it-i just tucked the flanges in my bra and it always worked fine Milk I just popped in the fridge at work. Everyone knew I was pumping anyways lol

My breastpump is all I bought and the cooler bag to put the milk in. I had the hands free bra too. There was never enough time to clean so I did that at home. Good luck. Remember to stay hydrate .
