Massage - prefer male or female

The times I have gotten a massage I always have a women. I have an apt this weekend and the woman on the phone said there are two massage therapists... Noelle or John.

I first said Noelle, but then wondered if John would be any good. Just feel weird that I am pretty much naked and laying on the bed and the only thing in between me and the guy is just a light blanket or sheet.

I am sure he's professional and all... maybe I'm just thinking too much into it.

Thoughts? Does it matter to you?

I've usually gone to women but have also had male massage therapists. At first I did feel like it might be strange but it really was fine. Turned out to not matter to me

my initial reaction is that i don't care so long as they're good.

but...

i need deep-tissue massages; men tend to have the upper body strength for that... but some women are amazing at leveraging their weight.

some men are (reasonably so) very nervous about the setting (like you described: alone, almost naked, etc) and because of that, they are very shy and cautious... which then gives you a crappy massage.

so, that was a long way of saying... IT DEPENDS. so long as the person can do what i need them to do, i don't care if it's a man or a woman.

Dont care at all... The human body is a beautiful thing and there is nothing to be scare of. He is just doing his job like anyone else.

i've had both and it doesn't matter to me - my eyes are closed so it's not like i'm watching them touch me, and they are professionals.

I have always preferred male, they have stronger hands and I like a DEEP massage. Then there were two instances where I felt the guy was kind of hitting on me. These were two different guys at two different places. The first one didn't creep me out as much as the second. Ever since the second instance I only go to females.

I prefer a man as they are normally stronger. But as long as they were professional I am ok. The men do flirt but it is harmless. If it was anything other than being professional flirting I don't think they would have a job.

If we are discussing Massage Envy type places, I feel very uncomfortable with a man. Being alone in those dark rooms naked with a man is too weird for me. I have gotten massages from male physical therapists, but they were in public spaces and I was fully dressed.

I've gone for a few- male and female masseuses. Overall, I much prefer the female masseuses. I've had health issues over the past two years and the women seem to understand much more of what I need and what I can't tolerate.

I am a Massage Envy member and usually go to 1 person and she's female. I have had males sometimes and find most of the time they do more deep pressure than I would prefer.

I am curious though, why do you take off your underwear for a massage? I always leave mine on. I dont see a reason to take it off as if there is any massaging on my rear end of inner thighs, I usually have the blanket on top anyway (if I am lying on my belly) and when I am facing ceiling, the blanketis lifted to cover my lady privates so the entire leg gets massaged. Just wondering if I am the only one who does this. I would feel skeevy having my privates touching that blanket or the table!
