2nd Appointment Today and...
... my doctor told me that I gained too much weight!  I have to lose 5 by my next visit in 2 weeks!!!
I guess 2 bagels a day was a poor choice.
Also, had the Maternit21 today. Hopefully the results come back quickly!

2nd Appointment Today and...
I gained a ton my first trimester.. I had such bad morning sickness and carbs were all I wanted.

Same here. Gained 9 pounds... yikes. Once you start eating a little more freely it comes RIGHT on.

Sorry, but I think that's insane that your doc would tell you that. I say, don't sweat it. Some people gain a lot in the beginning and then slow down naturally. At least that's what happened to me with DS1. I gained like a monster in the first tri and then hardly anything the last tri. And I didn't change my eating habits through the pregnancy.

Ty. I guess it can't hurt to start walking every day after work at least, and work in some healthier snacks instead of just all bagels, but I'm not going to go all Biggest Loser on myself right now.

It's hard enough to do that when you AREN'T pregnant!
That sounds kind of dangerous to me to suggest that.

Ty girls! I'm actually not overweight to begin with either (not skinny at all, just regular person size) but I kinda thought I was going nutsy w/the eating. I'll strive to not GAIN more in 2 weeks. That seems easier lol.

2nd Appointment Today and...
What?? No way.
I gained 10 lbs this time for my first trimester mainly because I had bad MS and the only thing that made it feel better is if I would eat. If I was slightly hungry the nausea got worse. My doctor didn't mention anything to me.

2nd Appointment Today and...
i gained 10 lbs in 3 weeks. I'm 11 weeks now. My dr was not surprised or mad and just said to watch what I eat. I was eating like a crazy person, hungry and nauseous, but I wouldn't lose weight while pregnant. I would just watch what you are eating

2nd Appointment Today and...
What??? That's nuts! I cant imagine a doctor would say that. I gained 15 pounds in 12 weeks my doctor said nothing. I asked about it and he said I'm healthy and some women gain a lot fast. He was right, I'm only gaining a pound or less a week now.
I cant imagine a doctor telling any pregnant woman to lose weight!!

Me too, id say sorry no, i'll try and watch what im eating but theres no way im going to actively try to lose weight...

2nd Appointment Today and...
I gained 8 pounds by my 8 week appointment and the doctor was completely fine with it. I'm now up 14 pounds at 16 weeks and the doctor still says its fine. I went nuts with the eating too. I had NO morning sickness but an insatiable appetite so I just kept feeding myself. I just don't know how you can lose weight! I guess cut out that second bagel and make sure you are only eating nutritious foods but not sure how I could try to lose weight otherwise.
