Roomy SUV Recommendation
DH and I need to replace our sedan with an SUV pronto. Just curious what you have if you got 3 or more kids?
We need the following features:
- roomy 2nd row (3 row is optional) 56 inches or more hip width - lotsa trunk space 'cus we got a big stroller to cart around for our 2 small kids - memory seats - Preferably under 40K - Good gas mileage (min. 20 city / 25 h'way would be nice) - Doesn't drive like a tank
We tested the Murano and love the way it drives but it's kinda small for what we need. The Pilot and Highlander are good size wise but doesn't drive as well. :(
Just curious what other options are out there...
TIA!

Look into the pathfinder. They have diff models as far as basic to luxury to fit your budget. Great size, nissans drive nice.

Re: Roomy SUV Recommendation
We liked the Santa Fe. Wound up buying a Murano (only 2 rows) but we're thinking of the Santa Fe next year to replace DH's car.

Look into the Santa Fe. I loved the Santa Fe and there is an option for a third row. I seriously regret not buying it.
I have a Rav 4 my DH has a Grand Cherokee - definitely not what you are looking for so don't waste your time looking.
Maybe try the new Buick, I forget which model, Pathfinder or a GMC Envoy?
Agree about the Murano, we looked at that too and it is small compared to other SUVs with a third row. But a very nice car.

Re: Roomy SUV Recommendation
I have the Chevy Traverse and love it. I feel it drives more like a car than a truck.
I also like the Dodge Durango, we are looking into that when our lease is up.

Re: Roomy SUV Recommendation
I just got a Chevy traverse and love it! Was able To get a great deal on a pretty loaded 2016. I was also considering the pilot, GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave and Ford Explorer. My requirement was the it was a 7 passenger vehicle, under 40k
Eta - if you can spend a little more maybe check out a Tahoe, or expedition. They may have some deals now on the 2015 models

Re: Roomy SUV Recommendation
We have pathfinder. We went to that from murano for same reason, needed more space with two little ones. I don't get as good gas mileage but close given it is a very large car

Re: Roomy SUV Recommendation
we have been looking into Honda Pilots...the 3rd row is very roomy and is one of the few SUVs we found that you can access the 3rd row from either side of the 2nd row and with ease. Its gas efficient and doesn't feel like you're driving a tank LOL. It also retains its value for a long time. Not sure about memory seats.
