Egg donation

does anyone know anything about doing a private egg donation? That was an option for us as we gear up for a fresh cycle. Should DH and I have any embryos we don't plan to use, we can't donate them to science, donate them to infertile couples, or donate them to a specific couple of our choice.
I am highly considering doing this last option if we have embryos left. Anyone know what the cost is if we plan to donate to a specific couple?


ETA: Specifically asking what the OOP cost might be for the couple I am thinking about donating to. I have a couple in mind I would like to donate unused embryos to but I know they are limited with how much money they would be able to spend.

I can't imagine the cost of the donation being much, if anything. You will, however, have to pay legal fees for contracts, etc.

I did look into this. If we have to go the IVF route DH and I discussed donating the remaining embryos. It looks like the only thing you would have to pay for is to freeze them until you find a couple or agency. The receiving couple will pay for everything else.

My understanding is if you go through an agency they take on the responsibility and costs associated. You can choose what information you want passed on to you in the future if any usually, like if a baby results from your donation.

ETA: Realized you are looking to donate to specific couple...Not sure but if it is someone you know, you definitely need contracts and legal stuff spelled out and that will cost a decent amount I would think.
