Blue Apron (or others)

Anyone use Blue Apron? We've been doing the 3 meals a week for the last few weeks. Curious what others think of it? We've had a couple of really good dinners and a doozie here and there.

I tried it, and really really liked the dinners we got.

I ultimately cancelled because 3 meals a week was too much for us. If they allowed me to do 2, it would be great. But with our erratic schedules, we're not guaranteed having the time to make the 3 meals in a week.
Otherwise i'd still be doing it!

I totally agree! 2 would be perfect, 3 is a bit much with our schedules. I tried the vegetarian option this time and it was really good .

Yes. I have used it a bunch. I really like it. But so far I actually am liking Home Chef better. I've also used Hello Fresh, which was good but I think I like the other two better.

I'm going to try the Hello Fresh also after Christmas!

I made one of our meals from Home Chef last night, and it was so good! I'm a terrible cook, hate cooking, but this was something nice that DD and I did together and I was surprised how easy and good the food was.

I got my first delivery (late because of FedEx mistake) but haven't made anything yet. Plan to cook tomorrow. We got:

The flat iron steak, red potatoes and root veggies

Hawaiian pork skewers with coconut rice

BBQ chicken ranch pizza

We got this as well. Haven't made anything yet though.

I also forgot to pause Hello Fresh so we got that shipment today. Chat Icon

Had the Turkish meatballs w/ parsnips & polenta. It's something I probably never would have made or ordered in a restaurant or eaten ever but it was actually pretty good! DD enjoyed it as well and she's a bit picky lately.

This thread has inspired me. We are in such a meal rut and I literally have 0 desire to cook these days. Would probably like to try all of these at some point (with coupon codes, etc.Chat Icon). So which one would you suggest for a newb like me? Any tips? I won't be home when it's delivered (won't get it till we get home from work about 6ish), but that's ok, right? I can also cancel any of these at any time, right?

Also? How are portion sizes? Thinking of the meal for 4 although my kids are super picky so who knows if they would eat it, but DH is a good eater.

I received a coupon with my Macy's order from hello fresh for 3 free meals with your 1st order. Is this a good deal? Are their better ones?

I've only done home chef and love it but do plan to try out the others as well. We only do dinners for 2 because my kids are super picky, it wouldn't be worth it. It perfectly feeds DH and I. It's 2 normal size meals. it's good because we can't overeat lol. That sounds like a great coupon! GO for it!

Yes, we get home same time, delivery is every wed, and it's all very cold still. We do meals for 2, but we find most meals can easily feed 3 (if it's a pasta dish or something of quantity, not like a sandwich/hero type meal, where they only provide enough for 2). You cancel the week before. So you can't cancel it Monday, when delivery is wed. The only drawback is I wish they offered 2 meals a week. 3 is minimum.
