First sono and now so sad is there hope?

So I went for early sono because they wanted to make sure implanted in uterus and not ectopic because Intermittent right side pain. Well sono tech couldn't really see anything she thinks she see something but only measuring 4 w2 d and I should be 6 weeks. My blood work from other day was 327. They repeated today my blood and doc didn't really have answers he said he can't rule out ectopic he can't rule out mc or maybe just very early. I know my last period was 10/22 we baby danced on 10/25 11/6 and 11/9 now if I go off the November dates ok maybe it adds up right but he said that it doesn't go that way. I don't under stand I could have only concieced during those days and highly doubt it was 10/25 since period ended 10/24. I have been crying all day all I want is a happy blessing the last 2 years my husband has been barreling cancer just had hopefully his last surgery and we were so excited to be moving on to a happy chapter. What should I think is there hope anyone else go through this. So upset sorry just needed to vent and get it out

You could have ovulated late. And this early in the game, every single day makes a big difference in development. Im sure at your next scan in a week would be more telling. Hope for the best.

327 is way too low to see anything. And yes way too low for 6w. How long ago did you get your bfp?

I would say there definitely is hope. You said the tech had a hard time seeing anything at all so I wouldn't completely trust the measurements. Like others have said you could've ovulated or implanted later than you think. It's still so early. I would definitely check the numbers tomorrow to see if they doubled. Good luck. Chat Icon

I would definitely call for results tomorrow. I went through very low HCG #s with this pregnancy and was obnoxious about getting results in a timely matter. After many losses, I NEEDED to know! From what I've been told, nothing can really be seen on a sono until you reach 2,000. When I was 4 weeks I was only at 21, doubling every 31hrs. At 5wks I was at 2,869. I had a sono at 6wks and heard a HB. I'm almost 39wks now. I think you just need to wait on seeing if these numbers go up. You could have ovulated later than you think. Don't give up hope yet!!!

just want to share my experience from my 1st pregnancy, which ended in a loss. I got a bfp on 14dpo and went in to the doctor around a week and 1/2 later for bloodwork at 5.5 weeks. The results came back at only 300. They speculated that my levels were probably much higher, and then started to drop before I came in. About 2 days later I started to spot, and then unfortunately miscarried.

I know this is not the story you want to hear, but it sounds pretty similar to yours. What I have learned, though, is that everyone is different and you really never know what will happen. Just relax and let whatever is meant to happen, happen

I know it's tough to hear, but I'm all about being realistic. If you got your BFP 2 weeks ago, then your beta is quite low at this time. I'd try to be cautiously optimistic, but to me, it doesn't sound promising. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm sorry your husband is going through some health struggles. I hope it works out for your whole family!

I'm sorry, I agree with this :(
My sono tech could not find my baby at all at 5.5 weeks but my HCG was way in the thousands at that point so they searched for it and found it. Sonos are never 100% but the hormone levels are pretty accurate and in the 300's at almost 6 weeks is pretty low. Hoping the new number is more in line.

I agree. My last m/c at 5.5 weeks they saw a small sac with nothing in it. My beta was only 350ish that day. I knew that the info tied together especially the beta was not good. Unfortunately having experienced my share of losses, what you said does not look promising. I'm so sorry. Chat Icon

yes, its nice to have hope, but unfortunately ive been in your situation many times and its very unlikely that this is a viable pregnancy.
