Can I get your thoughts on this? Super faint BFP UPDATE

I posted this on TTC too. I tested this morning both in the middle of the night and then when I woke up 3-4 hours later. Both times, the lines were very faint. By now, I was expecting them to be much darker. AF arrived on 11/15. I don't have 28 day cycles. Based on my CM, I'm pretty sure I ovulated on 11/30. My temp went up on 12/1. However, my temp dropped below the cover line the next day, then hovered at the cover line on the 2 days after that. I had a huge jump in temperature on 12/5 and it has remained high since then. We BD on 11/27 and 29. If I O'd on 11/30, today would be 18 days of high temps. If it happened on 12/4, it would only be 14 days, but the timing of BD doesn't seem right for that. My LP is 12-13 days.

My only symptom is very sore boobs. With my other pregnancies, I had more symptoms and lots of cramping before my BFP. I really haven't had any cramping. I know each pregnancy is different, but the super faint lines on FRER are throwing me off. If it's supposed to detect hcg 5-6 days before a missed period, I'd expect the line to be a lot darker by now. Is this a chemical? Do I have any hope? My temps are still high (in the 98.2-98.6 range). WDYT?

I put a picture in my album.

Update at the bottom.

theres no way to know unless the lines are getting lighter and/or disappearing.

Call your Dr and ask for betas to be done.

I Actually had a negative test at either 14/17dpo and didn't get my positive on a FRER until 17/20 dpo! I am now due July 31st and baby is measuring ahead so I most likely had that negative at 17dpo!

Good luck!!

That's how my lines looked for the first few days and I'm now 22 weeks, though I tested much earlier- I was about 10 DPO.

This exactly. For some reason FRER gives super faint BFPs early on. Mine didn't start getting really dark until like 15DPO.

Just to be on the safe side though go to your doctor for a beta.

I had a similar experience with this pregnancy, I didn't get a positive until like a week later, it was nuts since my others I always got positives around 9/10 dpo. But he's happy and healthy and I'm 31 weeks now! My due date was pushed back about 2 weeks in the beginning, so not sure if it was late ovulation with late implantation. Good luck!!

Same here- I stopped testing when AF's due date came and went (3 days later), but I did confirm with a ClearBlue Easy Digital test. That really put my mind at ease to see "Pregnant" clear as day after all the faint lines.

That's not really THAT faint of a line. It is a very obvious line to me. With my first pregnancy, I had much fainter lines that turned out to be a positive pregnancy. Congrats!

that looks like a good line for the timing I think.. Wait two days and test again, or go for bloodwork and get more done in two days to see if it doubles

This. Looked pretty obviously positive to me as well. And remember, symptoms change from person to person and baby to baby so I wouldn't worry much about different symptoms.

I agree, this is a pretty clear BFP to me. It's really not that faint for FRER. Congrats!

My first test was just as light as that and my child is almost one now. You can see the pic in my album. Congrats!

I had lines just like that on the same test. I went and bought a pack of the digital clear blue easys with the weeks estimator. They clearly said 1-2 weeks pregnant. I would try those!

Thanks everyone! I'm going to buy more tests and try to hold out until Sunday. I'm crampy and bloated this morning and my boobs have definitely grown over the past few days. I'm trying to stay positive. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I would test again tomorrow and Sunday. See if the lines are getting darker. And/or you can call your doctor and ask for blood work.

Re: Can I get your thoughts on this? Super faint BFP

UPDATE:

So somehow I held out until now before testing again. I took 3 different tests. Chat Icon The dye tests came up within 30 seconds max and the digital says pregnant. With the FRER, the test line is as dark or even slightly darker than the control line. The pictures are in my album. I know that because I waited several days before testing again, there could still be issues with my numbers, but this is the first time I'm feeling a little positive. I'm trying to stay optimistic.
I've been crampy on and off since Friday, my boobs have been sore and have definitely grown and I'm incredibly bloated. I'm hoping these are good signs.

Thanks for the advice earlier. I appreciate it. Chat Icon

Good update! I also wanted to comment on your original lack of cramping. I had pretty bad cramps (scarred me a few times) with both of my first two pregnancies. I'm now 21 weeks with #3 and I haven't had cramps AT ALL. I actually stopped getting even menstrual cramps after I had #1. The only belly aches I've had this pregnancy are the shooting ones sometimes when I get up too fast from sitting. So I would definitely say that no cramps is not a bad sign!
