I have no advice for you because I went through the same thing. It just got worse the further along I got. It was to the point where I couldn't stand for more than 5 minutes without my back hurting. I would have to sit on a stool when I would prep/cook dinner.
So sorry you are going through this too. The one thing I can say is that it went away immediately after I had the baby.

I can't say if it's working yet because it's only been a few days but I've been doing PT and I got acupuncture and a prenatal massage this past week. I haven't stopped working out though (barre and prenatal yoga) and think that I'm just making myself worse with my workouts. I came to this conclusion today!
I am also wearing a maternity belt that my PT suggested.
When I complained about back pain last week, people suggested chiropractor, PT, acupuncture, and exercise.
Hopefully your pain is short lived!

I'm not super active besides the 2 year old I watch. I definitely need to limit holding him and the stairs completely drain me. I was thinking a massage might help. Gonna look into the acupuncture too. Thanks girls.

I'm not good at the "sit and wait" for it to feel better so I had to try different things. Many people have huge success with acupuncture for lower back pain and even the acupuncturist said she didn't expect to have to see me more than 2-3 times. She said pregnant women usually respond very well to treatment so I am definitely hopeful. I've done acupuncture for other ailments and always have positive results.
Good luck!

If this continues I'll definitely need something. Can I have your acupuncturist information?

Re: 26 weeks today and back pain is killing me!!!
I would highly recommend seeing a chiropractor. I saw my chiro throughout my entire pregnancy and it helped so much. Make sure you see someone who specializes in pregnancy though. My chiro has special tables and pillows for our bellies and she was so gentle. She also gave me stretches to do at home. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes! My PT has a pillow for this and it's amazing that I get to lay on stomach again:)
Oh, so I wore my maternity belt for the first time today and got a pain-free 5 mile run in - obviously something is working well! Hopefully you get relief soon!
