panorama question- how long
I've got lots of questions today! haha
I am getting the panorama test done on the 30th, and then I have another appt scheduled for Jan 14. Is it safe to say I will have my results by then?

You should. I was told 8-10 business days but actually got the results after 5 business days.

I had my test drawn on a Monday and didn't find out until the following Friday. If you are a little nutty like me...if it's past the 10 day window, you can call the Panorama company and they will tell you if your dr received the results. I knew my dr had them on that Thursday but never called. I kept calling the drs office until someone was willing to read me the results over the phone.

what if I didn't want them to tell me the gender over the phone? We are going to have a gender reveal so I want to wait to find out on that day- Do you typically have the dr write it down for you and then you pick it up?

I would make sure you let them know that you don't want the gender results over the phone. I was more concerned about the genetics test than I was the gender which is why I was so anxious to receive the results. She gave them to me all together over the phone without asking if I wanted to know the gender or not. I think most practices put it in an envelope though.

Yes that is my major concern as well, but knowing that the gender is part of the test makes me nervous because I do not want to know right away!

That's good to know. I will let them know when I get the test done on the 30th
My geneticist told me the results of genetics test and then asked if I wanted to know the the gender and how I'd like to receive it, via envelope or over the phone. So that my DH and I could find out together, I had her call my cell back and leave a message. She was very accommodating and I'd hope most people would be! We just couldn't wait long enough until a gender reveal.
