Nursery Furniture Vs. Kid's Furniture

I was pricing out some nursery furniture at BRU and BBB, and noticed it was much more expensive to buy nursery-sized dressers and armoires vs. buying a crib and then purchasing kid's furniture. I've noticed that the kid's furniture is a bit larger as well. Not sure if it is just me, but I feel like the nursery dresser drawers are not that big for clothes when our kids get older..

So i was wondering your thoughts: Was your nursery furniture worth it, or did you feel your kids grew out of it earlier than you anticipated?

Well, we bought a crib that turns into a full sized bed and a 3 drawer full size dresser. That dresser fits so many things now, and I'm positive it will fit a ton of clothes when he's older and in "regular" size clothes too. I think his drawers are the same size as our BR furniture drawers and hadn't noticed if BRU or BBB drawers were smaller.

Luckily we didn't have to spend any money on DS's bedroom furniture. The crib was secondhand (brand new) from my SIL and the rest of the furniture was my bedroom set from before I met DH (also brand new). If I didn't have my own bedroom set to give him, I would've bought him regular size furniture. I go for function over appearance.

We bought a crib and matching furniture from Behrs . The furniture was the kids line but since it was all from the same manufacturer we got the same line so it matches the crib perfect.
