evite & K-bday party question
I only invited a few kids from my ds' class through evite using the school directory list. Two of the email addresses came back as incorrect but my son would really like to have these kids there. I asked around and no one knows their parents. I am thinking of giving my ds 2 invites to hand his friends in school but of course, I wouldn't want other kids to have hurt feelings if they happen to see the invite. DH thinks we should just forget it & not try to invite them beyond the email. wdyt?
Does evite automatically send out a reminder to reply around the rsvp date?

Re: evite & K-bday party question
We sent a few paper invitations through K class last year. It was fine. There aren't as many all class parties.

Re: evite & K-bday party question
ok, thank you. I am hesitant because his teacher did request that if invites are coming through school that they should include everyone in that gender or the entire class.
Now i'm also wondering if I should have ds hand it to the kids secretly or ask the teacher first if my ds is allowed to hand them to these 2 kids?

Our school doesn't have those rules. I would probably have DS hand them out then.
DS has received invitation on the bus. DS has also not received physical invitation after mom verbally invited us. I had thought she changed her mind or something. Turns out invitation never made it to DS. She followed up with me because I had not RSVPd and we ended up going.

evite & K-bday party question
Evite does send out a reminder.
We aren't allowed to hand out invites if it's not the whole class.
Our list was just home addresses and phone numbers - do you have their home address? Or can you contact the class mom?

Re: evite & K-bday party question
OUr school also has the rule - entire class or entire gender for paper invitations If you are going to only hand out two invitations and your school has the same rules, then I would disguise the b-day invitations in plain envelopes with the parents names on the outside of the envelopes I wouldn't even tell DS they were party invites and I would have the teacher put them in each kids back pack KId's talk and I would be afraid to hurt other children's feelings

Thank you! I had this all set up last night & then DS was talking to DH & we decided to just invite the entire class this time.

Honestly, for K, I think that is a better idea! It is nice to meet the kids and parents that will be around you LO for a long time!! :) It is good for them socially too since K is not as social as it used to be! :)
