Boating lessons
My husband and I would love to take a course for learning how to drive a boat. I see so many online courses but nothing on actually getting in a boat with an instructor and taking it out on the water? Can someone recommend a place?? I didn't think this would be so hard to find!!!

Re: Boating lessons
Last year my husband did a Boater Certification course at the Long Island Maritime Museum in West Sayville which included hands-on training. They practiced everything from docking to running slalom courses and maneuvering out on the bay. They were running 17 ft Boston Whalers. He thought it was a really good class. Not sure if they are running it again this year but might be worth checking out.
