Scheduled C-Section at Stony Brook
My last pregnancy ended in an unplanned emergency C-section at Good Sam. This time around, I'm with a different doctor and a different hospital, Stony Brook. I've decided to go with a scheduled C-section for this baby. For any BTDT moms, I have a couple of questions.
Do I have to get any testing done at the hospital ahead of time in order to be cleared for surgery? And if so, around how many weeks is that done? For a scheduled C-section, do you still pre-register with the hospital? Also, with my first I had a big battle with insurance over the anesthesiologist not taking my insurance. It was resolved and I didn't pay anything but it was a PITA. Since it will be scheduled, is there a way to avoid this same issue this time around?
Thanks ladies!

Re: Scheduled C-Section at Stony Brook
I didn't deliver at SB, but pre-op is usually a few day before your scheduled c-section.
They will use whatever anesthesiologist is on call at the time.
