14 week appointment tomorrow
What should I expect? I know there wont be a sono, they didnt schedule me for one. Maybe just bloodwork results and a general checkup?

Re: 14 week appointment tomorrow
You already had your NT scan? I had that between 12 and 13 weeks so I did have a sono. I didn't go back til 17 weeks and it was pretty uneventful. Like you said, just a general check up- urine sample, listened to the heartbeat, blood pressure, didn't even take blood.

NT? Is that the first one? I had an US at 8 weeks, that was it.

Nuchal Translucency Scan- that's usually done around 12 weeks. It's an in-depth ultrasound that checks for risks of birth defects and down syndrome. I'm surprised they didn't schedule you for one already. I'd definitely ask about it at your appointment.
ETA: I had to go to a different imaging place for the NT scan, my regular OBs office doesn't do it. Same thing for the 20 week anatomy scan.

They asked me about blood testing for chromosomal abnormalities and I declined that. Maybe that's why I wasn't offered that scan...

I didn't do the blood test for it either, though they didn't even offer it to me because of my age and low risk. But the NT scan is pretty standard... at least I thought so.
ETA: Though reading more about it- the latest you can do it as 13 weeks, 6 days. At 14 weeks, the place they are looking is no longer translucent so they can't look for potential problems. It's not conclusive and I guess when you declined the blood tests, they skipped this as well.
Here's more info about it....

Re: 14 week appointment tomorrow
Yes, NT scan is pretty standard, blood test is more recommended for people at high risk or over 35. I had both because they were both offered to me.

That's so strange then that they didn't offer it to me. I wish the would have told me there was more then 1 part to the testing. I would have thought more about it...
