30 weeks, 3 days. OB appt today!
Baby is measuring almost 4lbs.. 3lbs13oz. Measuring in the 77th percentile. Baby is frank breech which means feet are up by the head, and butt is planted firm on top of my cervix.
Dr said baby is big. NOT HUGE... but big. and since I'm "tiny" (i'm overweight but I have a tiny 4'10" frame) my OB says that the baby is definitely really big for me.
Where were the rest of you ladies at around this stage? Was your baby a giant?

Re: 30 weeks, 3 days. OB appt today!
The last time I had a sonogram was 20 weeks and baby was measuring big, but they haven't said a peep about it since then. And I'm tiny, too- 5'3" with a 6'8" DH. They did measure my fundal height at 31 weeks but didn't say anything either way, though I feel small for being 7 months along. I'm not scheduled for another, final, sonogram until 36 weeks to check the baby's position. I guess that will include size. Just curious- did they do a sono to measure the babies' weight?

Growth sonos are notoriously wrong. Just grow yourself a healthy baby and the rest will follow!

I don't know my measurements w/ DS at 30 weeks but I went at exactly 32 weeks and he was measuring 5lbs 1oz .. so he was considered BIG. I expressed my concerns to my OB since I expected to have a baby on the bigger side since I was born 8.5 and DH was 10! She told me there was really nothing that could be done since they wouldn't induce me before 40w and that she would def let me labor even if they were estimating his weight to be 9lbs. For the record, I had to have an emergency c/s at 34.5 weeks and DS was 6lbs 3oz so the measurements were accurate.

I honestly don't believe any baby is too big for us. The woman's body is amazing and the baby molds is little body to help us out.

The growth sonograms are not very accurate
with both of my pregnancies around 31 weeks i was told they were about 4.5 lbs which i was also told was on the bigger side.
DD ended up being 8lb 5oz and ds was 8lb 15oz just to go on sonograms not being right...the day before ds was born, i had a sonogram and they told me he was 8lb3oz....they were very off. in my case they estimated small, but in many cases they estimate large
our bodies are pretty amazing and can handle a lot; i wouldnt get caught up over the growth sonogram

My mom is 4'10 and gave birth to me naturally--I was about 9 pounds. She was also only in labor for 3 hours so I came out quickly.

Re: 30 weeks, 3 days. OB appt today!
Just had a sono last week at 31 weeks, and was told my baby was measuring at 4 lbs 9 oz. 85th percentile, and 3 weeks ahead of average. Maybe that's why I've been so much more uncomfortable this pregnancy than my first. I have to decide if I want to try for a vbac, but knowing how big he is already, I'm leaning towards repeat csection.

I had a growth sono around 30 weeks and they said the baby was 4lbs 1 oz. Neither the sono or my doctor mentioned that that was any bigger than they'd expect or expressed any concern. I didn't think to ask the percentile.
