Spinoff... Where could I live in SC?
Seriously considering moving but have no idea what areas/school districts etc are good. Thinking SC or Georgia at the moment. Thanks!

Re: Spinoff... Where could I live in SC?
I am only familiar with the Myrtle Beach area since my parents own property there and we are down there at least 1x a year. I looked into relocating there but not likely until my DH retires since there's not a lot of job opportunities for us there, but when I was looking the Carolina Forest section and Murrells Inlet, SC areas seemed to have had good feedback with regards to schools.
Also, I have a family friend who moved to Fort Mill, SC, which is south of Charlotte and the schools are supposed to be good there as well.

I think it depends on what you are looking for in terms of jobs. We recently relocated to Jacksonville, but looked at both SC and GA. My husband is a doctor. His field is 100% hospital based and he particularly likes large very busy hospitals. We looked at Atlanta, which we both really loved! Charleston (in particular Daniel's Island). We also looked at Savannah which was nice, but didn't have a hospital that met his needs. Atlanta has some great suburbs with good public schools, but it seemed liked many people sent their kids to private schools. Daniel's Island had really great public schools.

Spinoff... Where could I live in SC?
I know a lot of people in Mt Pleasant outside of Charleston which is nice. And another friend in Murrell's Inlet outside of Myrtle and she really likes it.

Re: Spinoff... Where could I live in SC?
I live in North Charleston SC. Mt. Pleasant where i work is really nice, but I highly suggest Summerville. Dorchester Distrct 2 county schools are great!
For GA I reco. Acworth/Dallas, they are about 20-30 minutes outside of Atlanta, thats where my parents and sisters live.

Re: Spinoff... Where could I live in SC?
We may move in a few years, but gathering info now.
Fort Mill, SC is actually our first choice at the moment. I really love the Habersham community that is being built now. I want a dream home if I move, lol. We were also considering Charlotte, but I found the houses to be very pricey in the areas I was interested in. I have family in the CLT area. I have an old friend from HS who lives in Fort Mill.

From the research I have done, Fort Mill has great schools. It is a suburb of Charlotte, NC. The girl I know from HS is a professional with 3 kids, so I trust her judgement!

Re: Spinoff... Where could I live in SC?
Cant help with SC, but we have family that live in Dunwoody, GA (right outside of Atlanta) and they LOVE it there. My ILs and DH have visited many times and rave about it. Its also super convenient to the city of Atlanta and the school districts are very good.
