Time between baby dropping and labor/birth
How far along were you with your first baby when they dropped... and then how soon after they dropped... did you go into labor?
I'm almost 33 weeks and I woke up this morning and baby is LOW and has totally dropped.
I had my first biophysical profile yesterday and the OB said everything looked good but the baby was still breech and looked "comfy".
I made the mistake of google and a lot of what I'm seeing says with the first baby ... they will drop 2-4 weeks before labor starts.
Thoughts? Experiences? Anecdotes?

Just b/c your baby feels low doesn't mean the baby dropped.
At 33 weeks there's still plenty of time for your baby to turn.

I don't think either of my boys dropped until I was in the throws of labor.

Re: Time between baby dropping and labor/birth
If your OB said the baby was Breech and comfy, that I would really doubt that the baby dropped, which would typically indicate the head engaging in the pelvis. Sometimes they just find a new position and it looks different on the outside.

Time between baby dropping and labor/birth
With Hailey...no idea if she dropped... i was induced the day before my EDD, so i dont know what would have happened... had i gone on my own...
With Jillian, she was definitely very low, she was for a few weeks tho... my drs mentioned it a few times.... but i never went into labor on my own. I was loosing my mucous plug all weekend and I was induced at 41w2d

Re: Time between baby dropping and labor/birth
I was in labor, water broke, 10cm dilated, and my daughter had yet to drop! My doctor had me sitting up for 2 hours for her to drop on her before i began to push (thank god for the epidural)

Re: Time between baby dropping and labor/birth
I don't remember personally, but I have a good friend who is currently 38w and i would say I first noticed the baby was dropping about 35w.

Time between baby dropping and labor/birth
For about 3 weeks before I gave birth people told me I dropped but I didn't notice until the day before I gave birth. Everyone is different so don't read too much into what happened to other people.

Now that I think about it they had me sitting upright in the bed too, after I got my epi. I have a feeling she never dropped either- until the point she was ready to come out!

Time between baby dropping and labor/birth
I'm 36+ weeks and I thought my baby had dropped over the last few days. I have excruciating pain in my pelvic region and my belly looks lower. I had my drs appointment today and she is head down but not engaged yet.
